Brad is crashing in his cousin Stephen's room while he tries to sort out his life. A perpetual student, he still hasn't settled on a major after a half dozen years at University. He loves learning, but so far that's the only thing that's been a good fit.

Dill is a full-time Dom who hasn't found the right sub yet. He's not worried about it -- he figures it'll eventually hap

Rating: 5/10

PROS:
- There’s a bit more discussion about how the Hammer Club works in this book than in most of the other Michael stories I’ve read, which I found interesting (both because I’ve read every Hammer story and because this isn’t strictly a Hammer story). There were details here that I didn’t know, like who the people are that are always stuck waiting in line on the sidewalk while the main characters just breez

Oh, I love the “house of many subs” where boys who have not yet found their Masters find a safe home. This time it’s a cousin of one of those subs who becomes the focus of the story – and what a fun tale this turned out to be. The Dom who notices him is wonderful as well (I loved his sense of humor), and the rationale with which he manages to convince Brad to give things a try was hilarious. Don’t get me wrong, it was great and worked really well for these two, but I thought it was not just high ...more

Hammer light book but this time the stereotypical fictional twink is a bit older, a bit more nerdy and not into BDSM. But that doesn't stop an experienced Master deciding he's a sub, falling for him and teaching him that he is... typical stuff really from the author/series

3 Heart Review by Cindy

Dill is a man who definitely knows what he wants and he wants Brad from the moment he lays eyes on him.

I wanted to love this book, I really did. BDSM interests the hell out of me and I am always one the look out for a story that will sweep me away but this one fell a little short.

Brad is a sweet man who has had a lot of education, so it seems to me that him being reduced to finding things “cool” all the time and calling Dill “man” is a little hard to take.

My biggest issue

Brad is the ultimate student; he loves learning but hasn’t quite figured out what he wants to do with himself yet. Dealing with the constant student loans as he keeps going back for more degrees hasn’t left him with much left over and he finds himself ‘couch surfing’ until he lands on a cot in his cousin Stephen’s room. Living in a house with a bunch of other boys, all of them subs, kind of makes him feel like the odd man out until he meets Dill. Dill and Je

Box Of Nails: "Jack Of All Trades" by Sean Michael

***3 1/2*** STARS

Oh Sean, you're an auto-read for me, even if I haven't read the description of the story yet. Haha.

So, this novella is about Brad, a 26 year old student crashing at his cousins place cause he's too poor to afford his own place. His problem is that he can't focus on one job. He can't even focus on one subject in college, he bounces around and try a bit of everything.

Dill is a Dom in his early 30's. He hasn't found a "boy" yet, bu

This was a really cute read. The BDSM factor was pretty light to some of Sean Michael’s other Hammer type stories. Brad is not a cute little twink, he just happens to be couch surfing in his cousin’s room at the sub house. Brad is not really into the BDSM world, but it's more from lack of knowledge than anything. That is until he meets Dom Dill at a sub house party.

The attraction is instant for these two. They connect and things move fast. Dill sees the lack of focus Brad has and finds a way to

This book has everything I’ve come to love and expect from a Sean Michael story. Insta-lust, smokin’ hot sex, angst, and a satisfying HFN/HEA.

Brad is finding himself and he chooses to do it by being a perpetual college student. It’s a costly journey and he’s couch surfing in a safe house for subs while he pays off his student loans. Only, he doesn’t identify as a sub or in the BDSM lifestyle at all. Enter Dill who is definitely a Dom and very interested in Brad. The relationship starts out fairl

I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

I normally love Sean Michael stories, so this one was a disappointment. I do not really like insta-love stories, but I felt that with the little character development and even less plot twists, this was one of the insta-love stories that I just can't get behind.

While I liked that Dill was a patient and ever teaching Dom, the way that he "went" after Brad w

So while I really liked this couple and this book there was just the one thing that honestly really annoyed me through this whole book. Brad just fought the BDSM aspect of this relationship with Dill so much that by the end of this book I was really annoyed with him to be honest. I thought the story was cute as a couple. You could feel the chemistry between Brad and Dill through this whole book. There was also a few steamy scenes too. But for some reason Brad just was not comfortable with that a ...more

Okay, Mr. Dom, you KNOW he needs BDSM to focus, you are against medication so don't even suggest that might be an option when he states he may have ADHD, and despite the guy not showing any interest in BDSM, your first rough session, you go at him, whipping him with a belt with no explanation, no safe words, nothing, just "surprise!" and then you wonder why the guy freaks out? What the hell kind of safe, sane and consensual is that? I was not impressed with the whole way he went about explaining ...more

I was given this book by Inked Rainbow Reads for an honest review.

This was my first book by Sean Michael I read, I know this was book 4 in the series but I had no problem following it.

Brad had no idea what he wanted to due with his life. Brad was couch surfing at his friends place when he met Dill, he was a Master.

I think we could have had a little more into Brad learning as a submissive. I felt it skimmed over that. One minute he w

Interesting

I nearly always enjoy Sean Michael and this book was not a disappointment. It was different and perhaps a bit slower than the other books in this series but even at the slower pace at no point did I feel like putting it aside and reading something else. My few problems with the story related directly to the story itself. It was well edited and I didn't get jolted out of the story by errors that couldn't be ignored. I enjoyed the ending I just had some issues with Brad's earlier ignora

Dillinger and Brad - I like that this story has no rushing but there are some strong nudges in the direction of the desired results. Favorite quote "I've had my tongue in your ass boy, how much more personal can this be?"

Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours ...more
