Had this book since the fourth grade. At the end of the year my teacher let all of us students take one of the books from her shelves and ever since the start of that school year I'd had my eye on that book and scooped it up as quick as I could.

And I'm glad to say it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

A collection of different tales of the supernatural that spoke to the spooky side of my mind as a child and still resonates to this day. The narration definitely has kids in mind, but by the end it still manages to tell great story after great story.

It may just be my nostalgia talking, but I say if you're a fan of good campfire tales then pick this up and give it a try.

I really enjoyed those 9 eerie tales with fine illustrations. All those tales remind me a bit on fairy tales and come up with a great twist at the end. Favorites? Sarge, it's about a boy and his dog. The Ghost Sheep and Terry O'Connell's Cat (all with a strict morale). If you like well narrated ghost stories that aren't too gory and apt for everyone you definitely should take this book into consideration. Really recommended!
