An old book, but a decent one for juvenile grade levels. It hits highlights of events that lead up to the Holocaust as well as what happened after and includes a lot of names of people if readers want to read more about a certain topic. It also has questions at the end of each chapter for readers to think about. Many questions are still timely in 2025, though this book was published 50 years ago.

This text was written for children. It is very dated and has extremely Zionist views. But I did learn about some folks who did a lot of good deeds despite the odds stacked against them.
