I would classify this as a devotional book as opposed to a scholarly one. While it includes all the typically scholarly items - footnotes, bibliography, etc. - it lacks consistency and thoroughness. For instance, many times a quote is given without a footnote or bibliographical reference. Also, blatant statements are made without any kind of backup - biblical or otherwise. That being said, it serves as a good jumping off point for further research. It would be, I suppose, a good source for someone wanting an general overview of music as presented in the Bible.

Not much information here, and several erroneous statements. Worth reading for an overview, but definitely not to the depth that I expected.
