I told my daughter these were the ponies I grew up with, and she was excited to read it. However, she couldn't get past the fact that Rarity looked nothing like the one from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and was thus disappointed. She still liked it though, just nitpicky about the ponies appearances.

This is a book that I would choose for someone who is beginning to read. It has pictures in place of some words. The characters in this book are characters with young children.

My 4 yr old is starting to read & this is a perfect way to start introducing word recognition & plurals. It's also a cute story. We loved it!
