new, exciting level! Plot twists abound in this story. Allies are enemies. Enemies are allies. Malkia is left in doubt, not knowing who to trust. Her gifts are being exploited. She is being used as a weapon "Enyo's Warrior" doesn't just pick up where "Theia's Moons" left off. It takes it to a whole new, exciting level! Plot twists abound in this story. Allies are enemies. Enemies are allies. Malkia is left in doubt, not knowing who to trust. Her gifts are being exploited. She is being used as a weapon against a race of creatures she knows very little about.

Malkia is a very interesting character. Niki Livingston does an admirable job of building upon the character she developed in "Theia's Moons." She is a nuanced character, uncertain as to where her loyalties lie. She often questions the manner in which the war is being waged against the Artemisians, knowing full well that she and her young friend Misty are being exploited as weapons of war. Yet, she is willing to believe the tale being told to her about the Artemisians and willing to annihilate an entire race of creatures for the sake of freeing Enyo and gaining her freedom. Of course, nothing is at it seems in this story.

Niki Livingston has done a tremendous job of building upon the foundation she put down in "Theia's Moons." "Enyo's Warrior" is a rich, powerful and vibrant story. I highly recommend it!

This is the continuation of the Theia's Moons series and does an excellent job of picking up where the last book left off and continuing the story.

We see Malkia as she struggles against a great number of obstacles as she becomes Enyo's Warrior. She is conflicted and doesn't want to allow things to take her too far from what she was before. This is especially apparent when she talks with Asha, who tells her she cannot give a good answer to how to deal with their enemies because her entire belief structure is colored by prejudice.

She becomes a part of something bigger than herself and is thrust into the middle of this war, and as the book progresses her power continues to grow and she is forced to make more and more difficult decisions. The novel ends on a major cliffhanger, setting us up for the next book in the series, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

In Theia’s Moon: Enyo’s Warrior we continue following Malkia, an exceptional woman in a terrible world plagued by war, strife, famine, and more war. She’s already been through the wringer in the first novel, and there’s more to come in this installment. I think that’s what I liked the most about part two. In the first one we were allowed to watch our protag find her feet and deal with internal strife and external challenges, and now that her character has been established she can really play. Also her goals were a lot clearer. I have to say that I didn’t LOVE the ending, I like a nicely wrapped up climax, but the ride was such a blast that I can’t hold it against the story, and am eager to see how it all plays out.

More enemies than originally thought! Volume Two of Theia's Moons was fantastic. It was also heart wrenching because the main character, Malkia, is going through so much, I felt as if I was with her on her adventures as she battled monsters and was repeatedly betrayed. It picked up where it left off from Eyes Wide Shut brilliantly, leaving no confusion as to what was happening, so I was sucked right in and hated having to stop reading to tend to other needs! What a brilliant book written by such a talented author. I can't wait to read more!

I'm just going to post my comments to my team as I was reading this as my review as I think it about covers my feelings about this book...WARNING spoilers ahead...


I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I'm already confused as hell with book 2 and I'm only 25pgs in. We literally start this book where the MC has a sister that's been with her in the life she has after her parents sent her away "for her own protection" and locked her memories, but suddenly she has another sister who was supposedly sent with her to the moon she was on. But the writing was so ambiguous at first I thought the author'd forgotten the name of her own character from book 1. It's only now as the original sister is being mentioned by name that I see that in reality there were two sisters, one from the birth parents, and one from her adoptive placement parents. *headdesk*

***Update*** (because if I have to suffer you all can bear witness to my pain)
I am now 100pgs in and we've essentially thrown aside the entire storyline we'd built up until now and dragged our MC to another moon against her will. Of course as soon as they get to said moon she conveniently forgets that she wasn't there willingly for some inexplicable reason. Even though she's supposed to be the most powerful being, pretty much ever, and is the only person who can destroy the evil people from some other moon that are supposedly trying to enslave them all. I have yet to see her do anything remotely strong. She flip flops between two guys, forgets anything bad that happens so that the plot can be forced down a path the character wouldn't chose to go in on her own, and is constantly betrayed by those she is supposed to trust. (Let's be clear that all factions in this ridiculous epic are not even remotely clear. So far I'm counting 4 factions...I think...and I'm not even sure of who did what and who's on whose side.)

There was still a dragon for about as much time as she had in the first book, which is to say about a chapter. :-p Thank god that's done. I pretty much don't like a single character in this book as they're either duplicitous or have now at this point committed mass genocide. You're the greatest power that's ever existed, but sure you're "forced" into being the "warrior" that will save them all by murdering every last man, woman, and child of this other race.

There's only one person I feel bad for in this story and that's the MC's young daughter who was taken from her and she thought was dead. And of course that's the one piece of the puzzle that's supposed to pull you into reading book 3 as she's still not saved and is off with I guess the ultimate evil, the MC's father.

Suffice to say I wish there was a synopsis of book 3 somewhere out there just so I could satisfy the little curiosity I have about how everything is resolved, but then again it looked like in some of those reviews that maybe that wasn't even supposed to be the last book, though no more have been written. All in all I'm just glad I'm done with this. I read it for the challenge I was a part of, but thank god I read fast. There was even less about this book that I liked than the first book.
