Clea Simons novels are not only enthralling mysteries where cats play an important role, they also address important issues - in this case sexual harassment in an academic setting.  The newest Dulcie Schwartz mystery, Into the Grey, places her under suspicion for the murder of a professor interfering with her dissertation.  But as Dulcie soon discovers, Professor Fenderby was also known for preying on vulnerable female students, including her cousin Mina.

Angry at being under suspicion, and

This is the 10th offering in the Dulcie Schwartz series and they are all pretty good. This story has Dulcie working on her thesis and getting hassled by a new member on her advisory committee. When he ends up dead she becomes a suspect and is suspended from the university. With the help of her cat and the spirit of Mr. Grey she works on solving the murder. Cat lovers will enjoy the interaction with the relines in the book.

My only real issue with this entire series to date is that Mr. Grey, the spirit of Dulcie's former cat, is far less a presence than he could/should be. The stories are excellent, I LIKE Dulcie, I don't figure out whodunnit in the first 5 chapters of the books, and they move right along with twists and turns and a bit of fun. Just...More Mr. Grey PLEASE!

Following what Dulcie interprets as grossly unfair criticism of her work by Fenderby, she is already a ticking time-bomb. When she hears that he has made the documents upon which her thesis is

Princess Fuzzypants here:
Dulcie is getting so close to finishing up her degree when a comment made in frustration puts her in the cross=hairs of a murder investigation. The ill-timed remark is not the only reason she is a suspect. The dead professor had just pilloried her paper and thwarted her from accessing the documents she needs to refute his arguments. She also was the one to discover his body and the subsequently the murder weapon.
Despite her best intentions, Dulcie is drawn further and
