This story by Beatrix Potter was rewritten for little ears, and I like the simpler version, however I wonder if we get the full story. Jemima Puddle Duck lived on a farm, and wanted to hatch her own eggs, but had to leave the farm to do it. Along the way, she met a gentleman, a fox, who said she could lay her eggs in his woodshed. When she had laid nine eggs, he came to her and said they would have a dinner party. In the kitchen, she met Kep, the collie, who would become her friend. In the meantime, the gentleman came to her and acted really mean. Luckily for Jemima, her friend Kep protected her and her eggs.
