I had to read this for a Queer Theory class in college. Our professor warned us that some aspects of the book were dated, but I felt it was an incredibly important piece of literature. It's interesting to see how our culture makes an illogical connection between Public Sex and Safe Sex. As an activist it helped me to understand what areas we need to be focusing on to direct policy. The chapter on finding a AIDS vaccine really added a great deal to my understanding of the crisis.

Currently in the middle of reading this one. Certainly a very interesting reading of public sex from a queer analysis
