Good book with plenty of action and romance. Jonathan was one of the original members of Orion and has had a satisfying career as a bodyguard. But as he watched his friends fall in love and settle down, Jonathan realized that he was ready to plant some roots of his own. Before his boss gives him the desk job he wants, Jonathan had one more assignment to complete.

Kate was a brilliant scientist who made a breakthrough that could change the face of law enforcement. As she prepared to present her findings at a special convention, Kate received letters threatening her work and her life. She didn't take them seriously and believed that there was no need for a bodyguard. Fortunately, her father disagreed and hired Orion to watch over her.

I really wanted to shake Kate at the beginning. She was adamant in her belief that the threats against her were not serious and made her feelings clear to Jonathan. He accepted her disbelief, but also made sure she knew that he would do his job regardless of her belief. Kate thought she was so clever when she ditched Jonathan until she ran into a situation when she felt threatened. Though her relief was real, she quickly convinced herself she imagined things.

I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Kate and Jonathan. There was a connection between them from the start, one that Kate especially tried to resist as she preferred to concentrate on her work. Jonathan was intrigued by Kate, and his customarily detached attitude quickly turned personal. I loved the extra layer of protectiveness it brought out in him. I liked seeing them wiggle past each other's walls as they spent time together. But even though the feelings between them grew, neither believed anything could come of it because their jobs were half a country apart. I ached for Jonathan, who thought that Kate was way above his level, and missed her when he returned to Dallas. The scene at Mark and Kelli's wedding reception was sweet and romantic. I loved Jonathan's surprise and his realization that he now had everything he could wish for.

The suspense of the story was excellent. The intensity started pretty low but escalated rapidly once Kate arrived in New York. It seemed that no matter what Kate and Jonathan did, the bad guys were always right on their heels. I was glued to the pages when Jonathan had to trust an outsider to help when Kate was drugged. I loved the scenes with him and Jake and their uneasy alliance until Kate recovered. There were some unexpected twists as Jonathan, Kate, and Jake got closer to the truth. The final confrontation was fantastic and had me on the edge of my seat until it was all over.

The heroine was too annoying and dumb.

I love this book and this series! Finally Jonathan's story! One of the original agents of Orion Security. After witnessing that his friends in the agency are settling down he realized that he needs to get on his roots. So he ask his friends and lady boss, Nikki to have a office desk but she give him a final job as a bodyguard. Guarding for a Scientist, Kathryn Spears who received some threats and her father decided to get a bodyguard for her protection. Things get serious when Kate gets more than a threat, it almost get her killed twice but Jonathan always there to save her life. For his final mission as a bodyguard, this won't be easy protecting Kate. Especially how dangerous is Kate's research and how affects her life.

I love the chemistry of Jonathan and Kate. They have a connection ever since they first met. They plot and story are okay. A very light read and the pace/flow of the story was good. But there's something missing or lacking while reading the book. Maybe because of the identity of the culprit behind the threats. Which is kinda obvious. Kinda miss the other guys wish that they were in the scene in the final confrontation with the main culprit in this story.

I rate this 4.0 out of 5.0 stars

Promising Action Packed Read!!!
Be on the Lookout: Bodyguard (Orion Security #3) Starts of Slowish but gradually gets quite interesting, I love the way the author made her characters but they could use more in depth characterization. Overall it was a really great read! I loved it!
Genres: Bodyguard, Action Packed, Mystery & Suspense & Thriller, and of course ROMANCE!!!

You would never guess who was behind the mystery -_- I sure didn't expect that and should've known way beforehand, there were clues here and there about who it was!

An exciting, suspense filled read! We go on the run for their lives with Kate and her bodyguard Jonathan as whoever is hunting her seems to find her no matter where they go! The characters were compelling and I enjoyed being along for the ride.

Kate Spears is on the verge of creating a scientific masterpiece that could change the criminal justice system for the better. She's due to present her work at a convention ... if she makes it there in one piece!

Jonathan Carmichael has enjoyed his career as a field agent with Orion Security, but he's reached a point in his life when he wants to be in one place for awhile, so this is going to be his last case as before he switches to a desk job ... and it just might be life changing!

Kate swears she doesn't need protection and is against having a bodyguard with her, but she soon realizes her mistake when an upgraded attack starts soon after Jonathan arrives. Will he be able to keep her safe to present her research, or will the bad guys get their hands on it first?

This book is fast paced and kept me interested from the beginning. Jonathan is a bodyguard. He wants to quit traveling and put down roots. He wants a desk job. His last contract is Kate, who is a scientist that doesn't want a bodyguard. Didn't think she needed one until someone tried to kill her. Jonathan, with the help of Kate's long-time friend, had to find out who was targeting Kate because of her research. Along the way Jonathan and Kate grow close. But will it last when they are out of danger?

This is the third book in the series.

When a scientists father gets worried about some notes and threats written inside them, he contacts the team at the firm. The boss brings the case to the hero who has just returned from another case. He looks out and at the others of the team and wants roots. The boss and our hero compromise one last case before he gets out of field work, anyhow, he's off to NYC where he meets up with our heroine. Our heroine doesn't want and doesn't think she needs the hero. She accepted him to calm her father down. However, when things start to happen, she's glad the hero is there for her and to protect her. When a dear friend of hers gets hit, she knows she was the target and they try and get away but that proves difficult even with help. When they realize who is behind everything, can they in against them? Will their feelings for the other come out in top or will they crumble?

You could really tell the author was really taken with this storyline. It had many different twists and turn which made me not want to put it down. They story was very well thought out and I loved the characters and how the past characters were kept within the story too. I can wait until the next book. I hope the author keeps writing like this!
