Montana Bull Riders #2

The Bull Rider's Homecoming

Rate this book
IS THIS HIS HOME?

Single mom Annie Owen is so busy raising her twin girls, there's no time to focus on the "single" part…until rugged Trace Delaney temporarily moves nearby. Annie's interest in Trace is more than neighborly, but she can't risk losing her heart to a bull rider on the move.

Trace is a rolling stone. Or so he thought. Settling down suddenly seems a lot more appealing if it's with smart, gorgeous Annie and her girls. But they deserve someone they can count on. Is Trace ready to be that man, or will he run from the only place, and the only woman, that ever felt like home?

The twins are back from The Bull Rider Meets His Match, and they give Trace a run for the money. Annie is a likable heroine, working hard to support her girls, when injured bull rider Trace shows up on her doorstep. He's watching her friend's farm, and her brother Gavin asked him to check in on her. Suspicious of his motives and wary of getting involved because she's afraid of disrupting her girls' lives, Annie and Trace share a slow brewing romance with a satisfying ending

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book from Reading Deals so I could give an honest review

This is a heartwarming sweet read that really warms you. Both Annie and Trace has their reason for not trusting and not giving much faith in a lasting relationship. When they meet they both know there is something there but with the trust issues it isn’t going to be an easy road for them to travel. Annie has her twins to think about even if she wanted to she couldn’t jump in a relationship not knowing where it might lead. She doesn’t want her twins or her hurt again.

Annie is such a strong person nothing stands in her way , she gets things done no matter what. She has great friends but can stand on her own when needed to. In a lot of ways she reminded me of myself when asked do you need help most likely my answer will be no. I thought it was wonderful how the author brought into the story Trace’s past so we could better understand him. I enjoyed the buildup of the romance. The characters were very easy to relate you and easy to like. I feel like I made a friend with such wonderful characters.

The plot was very enjoyable, the characters were wonderful. I love the pull, learning to give and take along with trusting again. I thought the author did a great job getting the point across with a wonderful blend of everything that makes a romance worth reading.

Annie got a set of twin girls and don't got time for a man. Shes handling things fine and well without one. Unfortunately her brother doesn't think so when he sends over a friend who is recover from a bull riding accident, to check up on her. Annie is convinced she doesn't need his help but there are times his company and help comes into play and they can't help but fall in love. Problem is hes a recovering bullrider and soon hell have to go.

I enjoyed this book it was a heartwarming sweet book. I loved how strong willed and independant Annie was. When things needed to get done she got it done even if it got her hands dirty. There were plenty of things that she needed to work on and didn't ask for help even if she was offered a helping hand. I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Annie her girls and Trace. I enjoyed getting Traces background to understand a bit of his life choices. Overall a really good book I really enjoyed it.

This was a sweet romantic story about two people who are hesitant to give into their attraction. They more time Trace spends with Annie and her girls, the more time he wants to spend with them.

Trace spent a lot of his time trying to be noble and doing what he thought best for him, Annie, and the girls. The only problem was that Trace didn't include Annie in his decision.

The same goes for Annie. The more tine she spends with Trace, and watches him interacting with her girls, the more she wants him.

The thing I liked about this book is that once Annie decided exactly what she wanted, she didn't hesitate to go after it. You will definitely get your HEA with this book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

Western Romances aren’t usually stories I read. For some reason, cowboys just don’t appeal to me. The Bull Rider’s Homecoming by Jeannie Watt has me rethinking that statement. This is the second book in the Montana Bull Rider series and is a standalone read.

From the beginning, I was intrigued by Trace Delaney and Annie Owen. Annie is a single mom to twin seven-year-old girls, Katie and Kristen. She loves working at Annie Get Your Gun, a small boutique store and volunteering at her daughters’ school. With no help from her ex-husband, she does everything for her daughters herself. She lives on her family’s ranch/property and occasionally has her older brother Grady help her with repairs. Trace is a bull rider who is recovering from a riding accident. He doesn’t have a permanent home since he’s on the road so much traveling the rodeo circuit. When his good friend, Grady Owen asks him to look after his ranch for a few weeks, he agrees. Not only does Grady ask him to look after the ranch, but also Annie who lives next door.

Annie and Trace’s first meeting was classic and laugh out loud funny. It definitely had me wanting to find out what was going to happen. They have an instant attraction to each other, but want different things. Trace doesn’t do family and close relationships because of the way he grew up. He’s also not the stay in one place too long kind of guy. Annie doesn’t want a relationship. Heck, she doesn’t want a man in her life at all. She definitely doesn’t want a bull rider. She’s been there and done that. What she wants is stability for herself and her girls.

What started out as a friendship, quickly turns into something more, with feelings quickly developing between Annie, Trace, and the girls. Trace is determined to recover and get back to the circuit. All he can promise Annie is the time he’s in Gavin, Montana. When he returns to the circuit, Annie and Trace quickly realize how miserable they are without the other.

The Bull Rider’s Homecoming has a strong, sweet romance feel to it. However, there is one closed door scene close to the end which is eluded to. As mentioned, characters from the previous book do make appearances and give advice to help these two along. Seven-year-old twins Katie and Kristen are funny and wise beyond their years. Jeannie Watt is definitely going on my author reading list.

A Bullriders Homecoming
A well written sweet contemporary romance in a western setting.
Annie is a single hard working mother of twins, struggling to get through each day, and Trace is an injured bull rider with trust issues.
Annie is sweet with lots of friends who help her get through, especially when her only family, arodeo riding brother is on tour.
Trace, injured on a bull is recovering at a ranch house lent to him by Lex, Annie's soon-to-be sister-in-law. Trace had a hard life as a youngster and doesn't trust easily, so the rodeo rounds seems to the easiest way to him.
They manage to connect, despite that fact that they are both leery of relationships. Written with a touch of humor, this book is a winner.
I received a free advance copy for my honest opinion.

A simple, charming romance. I'll get more of these Western Romances from Harlequin! Trace lives a sort-of nomadic life as he travels the circuit as a bull rider. Annie is a single mother raising twin girls, so her life is about trying to maintain routine and staying in the one place. I was genuinely interested in seeing how they would wind up together! The twin girls are lovely - the author doesn't make them overly precocious or cutesy.

I received a copy of this book from Reading Deals Review Club . This is a sweet romantic story. Trace is a really great guy, but he is emotionally damaged. Finding himself attracted to Annie, he decides to leave so he doesn't hurt her or her girls. Annie is just as attracted to Trace, but knows that he's leaving and doesn't want to get attached. The touch then go relationship builds slowly, then falls apart when Trace goes back to bull riding. But Annie takes a chance and goes after him.

Trace is recovering from a shoulder injury and meet Annie and her twins. He just wants to heal and get back to bull riding but Annie and her girls are becoming important to him. Annie has not had a lot of reason to trust men and is not sure if Trace is any different. What will they decide as Trace heals and the circuit starts to call to him.
