So awful I could not even finish. I love time travel, and I adore Vikings--this should have been an easy read. I understand time travel novels are about suspending belief, but even this one was a bit too much for me. It somehow involved her exhusband tricking her into time traveling backwards, then following her. There is zero adjustment into the year 970 A.D., which is disappointing since I always find that one of the more intriguing parts of a time travel novel. Then the "story" and I use that term loosely, devolves into crude sexual descriptions. I read a lot of romance, and some writers are better than others about writing sex scenes, but I draw the line at crudeness. Do not bother.
Well done, truly some of the best romances I've read in years. Their stories ripped my heart to shreds and put it back together again. A world well written and well plotted.
Furious, intense and all encompassing, love so deep you feel it in your soul. What wouldn't you do to protect the ones you love. Think beyond your immediate family. Think generations. Delicate intricacies of the fabric of life that we weave. The true value of each person that comes into your life and how we interact with them. The complexity of those interactions and how they determine the decisions that we make. Each story draws you in with the differences and how you make your choices.
There is so much that happens within the storyline for each character you truly have to pay attention to what's going on. It is so creative the way the author was able to go back and forth between the different characters between timelines, being able to connect the dots. When going between books there is no gap, you don't even feel that you left the story it's just a continuation. Truly well done.
Didn’t like it, booringgggg. It’s well written but i don’t know, didn’t like the plot, nor the characters, nor the romance. I didn’t finish the first book. Read 3/4, then I wanted to give a chance to the other story, read 1/2, then I wanted to give a chance to the third and read 1/4 before being hopeless. I love Vikings, but this.. I don’t know it’s too long and boring.
Another enjoyable instalment of the MacLomain Series. It was such a joy to reconnect with this series. Sky has once again brought amazing characters alive, the stories chosen captured your imagination and take you on an epic journey.
Couldn't put it down, if you are not acquainted with the series I would highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed.
I totally enjoyed this series with its strong heroes and heroines. I liked the plot and the storyline was not a retread. My only issue was all the sexual descriptions which were unnecessary in my opinion so I just scanned and skimmed over them feeling none the worse for it.
I binged read these books over the weekend and absolutely loved them. Could not believe they were free! They obviously kept my interest and couldn't stop reading them. I've never read the author before and will definitely check out her other books.
This is a great set to a series ... Follow three sisters who time travel to Scandinavia and meet their true lobes while protecting future generations of a their line .
Great set loved the twist and turns. This author has captured me with her tales.
A very well throughout and interesting time travel romantic adventure. Gotta love those Viking Ancestors with all their passion. This box set is one you will definitely not want to miss out on. Totally loved it.
I enjoyed the Viking Ancestors. However I read the overall series out of order. So it was good to understand the back story but a little confusing sometimes. It always takes me a little time to get into the story, but I do enjoy the story.
I chosed 5 stars because I enjoyed reading these books. I love reading about time travel and Vikings. These had an extra kick by adding dragons. I loved them hopefully you will too.
Three Viking brothers, are promised three 21st century women to love and continue their dragon family. Each story is about a brother and his time traveling woman that they are destined to love. Three awesome love stories !!!!
The series is a good one; the only problem I have with it is, there is too much sex in the story. I'd rather read more of the story than the detailed sex, the author tried to make the story longer by adding in too much of the sex in the plot.
This is the series that got me hooked with this author. There is a recommended reading order but I never felt like I missed out with not reading the others first. With strong women and men who want to protect and throw in some magic and dragons and you have some wonderful stories.
This series is amazing. I could not put it down. The interconnection of each book, the interweaving of the characters, makes it a story you won't forget.
1: The Viking King Things have been strange in Megan's life since she found the box with etched stones in it. Name being said upon the wind, giant blackbirds perched on her deck railing. Life does change dramatically, whilst Megan takes the changes in stride, life as she knew it would never be the same. This is a thrilling introduction to this series, and if you have read any of the MacLomain Series, you will see the overlap in the Scottish and Viking stories. I look forward to reading the next episode and am thankful that I took up the unlimited offer by Amazon.com and Amazon.com.au, so I can read this complete sequence of stories.
2: Viking Claim
The 2nd sister, Veronica, is the next to experience time travel to 9th Century Scandinavia. She is the model, Magazine owner as well as the Lawyer in the 21st Century. Strong and independent, even with a choice between two very sworn worthy Viking brothers, she is stubborn in her stand to go home. A damn good tale, which will have your heart torn asunder. However, just remember, love conquers all!
3 : Viking Heart Ah, what a fantastic 'Grand Finale' for this generation of Viking Ancestors series, as we meet and follow the last of the three brothers as he meets a woman who may complete a pact, but who may also take his way of life away. Little does Kol know that Amber, his destined love , feels much the same as he does, trapped by the need to do right by her sisters and their new partners, but feeling that she has no say in the decision, about her life. It is a nail biting, on the edge of your seat episode, which may need tissues, but hang in there and see it through to the Mind boggling end! Yes, I definitely enjoy this writer's work.
Vikings and dragons? Love both. The story of the three sisters and the three Vikings is exciting and not meant to put down until finished (or should I say not possible). Villages in 9th century Scandinavia is an insight to how the culture might have been. Mix in magic and wizards and anything could happen. For those who love dragons, VVikings, time travel, and forever love.
All three books were excellent! Well written, very imaginative, excellent research and the most amazing characters. One of the Best series I have read so far..Do not miss!
It was hard for me to finish. I didn’t like any of the h’s. But the last one...I had to force myself to get through. I wanted to like these books, I liked the others, but nope!
