This is one of several books I've read about Nazi officials escaping discovery and punishment after World War II, often with the help of governments, most particularly those of the USA and the Vatican. Here the author supports the common claim that Martin Bormann, Hitler's private secretary and Parteikanzlei head, survived the war.
