Asha Shankur had been careful and strategic from the time that she learned what it was to truly be an asset rather than a hindrance in her pride, cultivating the skill of diplomacy and grace. Not once did she believe that her role amongst her people would be yanked from beneath her. Or that they would sell her to the highest bidder. And the day she met her soon-to-be ...more

This book was so good I am borderline speechless.

This could possibly be classified as enemies to lovers... sort of reminds me of Beauty and the Beast.

Asha intelligent, sophisticated, quick witted she-tiger
Tara's brute, alpha, caring sweet heart.

I don't wanna give anything away but I am so glad I gave this book a chance. Worth way more than the $2.99 I paid on Amazon. So glad to add this to my permanent collection

Nikki Winter you are a genius!! Book 3??? Oh I think so ;-)

Terrifyingly Good!

Taras Verochka was deadly, decisive and dangerous. All fears him and wanted to remain on his good side. He had become a weapon of destruction due to his father's training. He was without feelings, or was he?

Asha Shankur was brilliant and beautiful. Her family failed to see her value and worth. She was treated as an asset to be used to secure position and favor. They married her off to Taras and expected gratitude.

Taras and Asha had a rough mating hysterically came to understand

Pretty Good

I follow this author and I enjoy her work. This reminds me of the mob stories, except they are shifters. Mob stories in general are not my preference. However the hero and heroine were both strong characters and the story was interesting. I enjoyed that the author included an epilogue that shows that the HEA continues the the next generation.

I loved the first book but this one just didn't follow up to the previous book at all. It was like the two books didn't even belong together. Just totally left field. Nonetheless, I'm am a big Nikki Winters fan so I will stay tuned for what's next.

This one lost a star just because it should’ve been the first book, we already know the outcome so we really didn’t need to have a full book about the two. The little we do get out of this one is borderline boring, Taras had every opportunity to stop Grigoriy but chose not to for some reason. We still don’t know why the pride ended up in Colorado, what happened with Asha’s family or anything that fills in the gap of this one and the last story. If this would’ve been the first one then I could’ve ...more

It's been more than a year since I read Beastly Desires, the first installment in this series and I was confused as to how this book was connected to the first. It wasn't until the epilogue that the connection was made. Despite this, I enjoyed this book. Taras and Asha are forced together by their families and eventually make the best of their situation. The most amusing parts of this work are the interactions between Taras, Mischa and Alexei. Because Taras is portrayed as such a vicious beast, ...more

Nice book

This book was nice as a background for the first story; it just didn't work for me as a standalone story. I was looking forward to the brother's story based on the short blurb provided more than the parents. Just seemed to missing something for me.

I am a big fan so yeah I'm already anxiously awaiting the next story but I wanted to say how much I enjoyed the way love was given without words or expectations just honest feelings not even aware of what love is but giving your all anyway just great

The humor was there. The storyline fantastic. Though the heroine was annoyingly whiny in the beginning. Can't wait for the next book.
