This book has a different start than any book that I have every read. Sara saw Caleb leaning against a door jam. She decided that he needed a kiss and she went over to him and told him so. He wanted to know if she was going to do it. She kissed him and from there the story starts. It's a good story.

This was another great find.

Lakota Man is a beautiful love story, but it is more, much more – it is a rock ‘n roll love story, and in my opinion, it doesn’t get any better than that.

Caleb and Sara are both musicians. Caleb is the lead singer and guitarist of a rock band, and Sara is a beautiful and vibrant Blues singer. They meet at the recording studio where they are both working on their latest projects and are immediately attracted to each other.

The story follows their hesitant first steps t

First, I will say that I was given a copy of this work to review, however I would have easily paid for it! It's a very well written book!

Black Wolf: Lakota man is a love story of the highest caliber! Musicians always get the girls, and in Caleb's case, he's the typical musician player. He's spent his young life going from girl to girl, gold digger to one night stand. That is, until he meets Sara. After a spur of the moment kiss when they first meet, Caleb falls easily for the charming and beauti

A critical review written by Lisa Lahey, B.Ed.

Black Wolf: Lakota is the first in a five part series about a Native Indian male band. It’s not Lakota’s plot development that entrances the reader. The premise is simple and somewhat predictable: Caleb, the lead singer of Black Wolf and Sara, a beautiful blue-eyed blues singer meet at a music studio while pursuing their music careers and sparks fly. They suffer the usual ups and downs of a fledgling romance, jealousy, uncertainty, infatuation. Howev

I've lived in the Austin area for well over two decades and am married to a musician so the description of this book sounded like something I would enjoy. I almost stopped reading after the first few pages as the writing was amateurish but I stuck with it. The writing style didn't get significantly better but it was tolerable. The love story part was fairly decent and Sara, Caleb and the brothers were likable.

What really bothered me was the portrayal of the music side - especially in Austin. The

I've been a big fan of Magnolia Belle's historical fiction, so I thought I would give one of her contemporary books a try.

Maybe it just wasn't what I was in the mood for; the writing is good (as is always the case with this author), but the plot felt just a little bit like a cookie-cutter romance novel -- and I didn't expect that.

Caleb and Sara meet in a recording studio ... and they don't much like one another at first. Then, they fall in love ... and then there are problems ... and then they a

One of the best books I've read in awhile

What a powerful story. I couldn't put this book down. It has all the elements of a perfectly written love story: excellent character development, extremely well-written storyline, wonderful supporting characters, moves along at a terrific pace and, of course, the all important HEA.
I really adored the fact that the H is a Native American and the author used this to add extra depth to the story without over using this aspect. It wasn't done to make some po

What happens when a rocker used to getting his way meets a female singer who is not willing to fall at his feet? In this case, he falls in love! Lakota Man is the bad boy rocker that every woman wants to tame. Sara is a beautiful singer that every man wants to lay claim to. Both have a history of bad relationships, which causes each to be hesitant in a different way. This is a fun, light romance that follows two musicians through the aches and pains of learning how to love each other.

This is my first book in this series and by this author and I must say that I was not disappointed.

Ms. Belle has created a world that many, if not all, readers will be able to relate to in some way. Caleb, Sara, his family, etc were written vividly, strong, and realistically. It would be easy to imagine this tale of fiction happening.

It was easy to read, kept my attention and made me want to turn each page just to see what would come next. Very exciting and touching. I look forward to reading

Black Wolf: Lakota Man delivers that special something that readers everywhere crave; a book that keeps them going and wanting to come back for more. You will form a bond with Caleb and may even find yourself rooting for him in various parts of the book. Author Magnolia Belle takes the pen and does what so few romance authors can do; she makes the characters lively and interesting. This will be a series worth reading!
