Spawn: The Comic: The Movie: The Comic. About as good as you'd expect a comic tie-in to a subpar movie to be, only a little worse. Takes an already erratic film and condenses it into an even more random story with plot points and dialogue hammered into place. Should you have never seen the movie, I doubt you would understand 90% of this book. The saving grace is the art and some of the dialogue from The Clown. Although oftentimes this dialogue was shoe-horned in with no understanding of what made it work in the movie, which does not translate onto the page.
All in all, don't read it. If you're a huge Spawn fan (which I am) read it only to ruin your own day.
