Explorer's Guide Yellowstone Grand Teton National Parks and Jackson Hole is an in-depth look into the history, geology, landscapes, recreational opportunities, lodging, dining and shopping in and around the nation's first national park.
Our big trip this year will be to Yellowstone/Grand Teton and Mount Rushmore. This book was a valuable overview of the all the interesting spots and sights to see as well as good travel tips on how to get around the parks.
Lists attractions along each segment of road in the parks, very useful for selecting daily routes to take on vacation drives. I used it to plot an itinerary for a future trip, as well as select the lodging to reserve.
I found this guide absolutely wonderful...and can't wait to get back to this part of the country. We only scratched the surface on our whirlwind trip and I am in awe of the beauty we encountered!
