This book is ideal for kids who are already studying French or have at least a knowledge of the basics such as pronunciation. It is also very nice to look at, if only for its pastel colours and its cuteness factor.

The main section has 85 pages, each containing twelve English words translated to French, with an illustration and a sample (translated) sentence in which the word is used.

Other sections include (but are not limited to): colours & shapes, numbers, days & months, the seasons, family words, words we use a lot, making sentences, making questions, negative sentences, all about verbs.

You can even hear all the French words in the book, read by a French person, on the Usborne Quicklinks Website.

Recommended for English speakers aged 9 and up.
