This book gives example after example of how to go about adding these aspects to your life both at work and at home. But more than that Serious Laughter takes you by the hand and shows you how to deal with stress and worry, anger, resentfulness, fear, doubt, insecurity, jealousy, rage and depression. It is a excellent source of motivational material that will keep you thinking positive. Partly autobiographical this book proves to be a delight to read as each page is very conversational and personal.
It was less helpful than I expected. Conte definitely would have benefited from the assistance of an editor. It does include suggestions for incorporating humor into daily life, and I laughed or chuckled often as I read.
I heard her speak at a school workshop and had a good laugh. I bought the book then. It made me laugh and did offer some helpful suggestions. She is from Central NY, so I could relate to a lot of the references.
