THE SECOND BOOK OF ‘RAMALA’ TEACHINGS

The Introduction to this 1986 book explains, “Since the Ramala teachings were first published over fifteen years ago few people would deny that our World has become a more dangerous place. Whilst on the one hand it can be said that a small number of people are emerging to ground and demonstrate a new understanding of life and to bear witness to a new race of Humanity, on the other the vast mass of Humanity continued in the pattern of its forbears, a pattern of self-centeredness and self-possession rather than of wholeness, or holiness, and sharing. Let us therefore recognize that what we are witnessing is the descent of Humanity, at an ever increasing rate, into Darkness… Humanity has lost its soul, its God-centeredness… We are, therefore, fast approaching a moment of planetary crisis, an event which will signify the ending of an Age, the ending of a pattern, a time which is sometimes called Armageddon, the Apocalypse, the Cataclysm or the Day of Judgment. The Ramala teachings should be seen in this context, namely, that we, as individuals, will soon have to decide where we stand… either to recognize to or to deny our spiritual birthright. Each one of us will have to choose and to demonstrate by thought, word and deed whether or not we are ready to participate in the Golden Age of Aquarius, the millennium of Peace and Plenty.”

It continues, “The Ramala teachers often use the analogy of a lifeboat to describe the purpose of the Ramala Centre and its teaching… when the ship does sail into stormy weather then Humanity will rapidly become interested in the lifeboats… many will rush to the safety of these lifeboats. The Ramala Centre therefor is but one of many centres preparing a lifeboat… a lifeboat of consciousness… The purpose of the Ramala teachings is to help Humanity to prepare for this great moment of transformation and transmutation so that we may be ready for the Golden Age that is to come.”

It goes on, “It was in … 1970 that the Ramala teachings were first made available to the general public… a book, ‘The Revelation of Ramala,’ first published in … 1978… In 1982 selected teachings were also made available on tape cassettes … Now, three years later, comes the second book containing over thirty of the more recent teachings. This book must be seen as a continuation by the Ramala Teachers of their efforts to help in the transformation of human consciousness… It is significant… that throughout the time that the teachings have been received never once have the Ramala Teachers felt the need to correct anything … or to retract any of their prophecies. Indeed, several of their predictions have already been proved to be correct…. There has never been any feeling of compulsion or imposition of authority on the part of the Ramala Teachers… the bulk of the teachings have been given by just three Teachers. Who they are they will not say, except to describe themselves as belonging to a Spiritual Hierarchy, on a higher plane of existence, responsible for helping Humanity through this time of crisis.”

It explains, “How are the teachings received? Usually a group of up to twelve people meet in the Ramala sanctuary, known as the Sanctuary of the Holy Grail. After a period of meditation, when the energy has been built up between David and Ann, the husband and wife team who form the channel and who always sit facing each other, one of the Ramala Teachers overshadows David and speaks though him to give the talk…. The talk normally lasts for twenty to thirty minutes and then the Teacher withdraws and David’s personal guide appears to answer any questions that may have arisen from the talk. If the Ramala Teachers sometimes appear to be remote and impersonal, then David’s guide, known as Zen Tao, is the very opposite…”

It adds, “We therefore introduce this book to you by saying, as would our Teachers, that it should not be regarded as an authority. It should not be thought of as a bible, as a book of religious dogma. Its true purpose is that of being a mirror, to awaken in the reader his or her own spiritual knowingness…. As with the first book, [this book] is published anonymously. This is … done… to make it clear that the instruments are not the source of the teachings… over the years… it has become possible for the Teachers to express concepts of life with which the instrument does not agree or else has not yet grown to understand.”

The note on ‘The Ramala Centre’ recounts, “It was in the spring of 1975 that David and Ann, the founders of Ramala… came to live in Glastonbury… their inner guidance told them that this old manor house was destined to be the place where Ramala would put down roots and grow… Today the Ramala Centre is a power point where weary pilgrims can come and recharge their spiritual batteries… Guests stay on a Bed and Breakfast basis, with evening meal by arrangement… The Ramala sanctuary… reflects the nature of the spirit of Ramala---universality.”

EXAMPLES OF TEACHINGS:

“You know that the New Age is soon to dawn. You have … the knowledge of the part that you have to play in that birth… for you are the midwives of the Aquarian Age. Although the cosmic energy pattern is present, it still requires individual human activity to ground that cycle to come, in just the same way as the Nazarene grounded the Christ Energy two thousand years ago. It needed his physical presence on the Earth in order to become manifest.” (Pg. 2)

“The question is often posed… if God is a God of love, how then can that God permit suffering? The answer is… that God does permit suffering for suffering is a refining process on the soul’s path of evolution. Suffering should not be seen as a punishment visited upon a wayward child.” (Pg. 7)

“the Christian Church, no matter what sect you belong to particularly, does not represent the total understanding of Easter. Indeed, the Church reflects only a small, limited aspect of it. By focusing the ceremony of Easter on one man is doing both that man and his Creator a disservice. But that is the nature of the Christian religion and why it has only a limited appeal. We are inviting you to look beyond the Christian interpretation to the greater meaning of Easter.” (Pg. 50)

“We are not reaching the end of that patriarchal cycle and a time when equality will once again be granted. It will be granted not only because of the striving of Woman seeking that equality but because the time is now right that that equality to come into being… Now is the time, at this dawning of the Aquarian Age, for the male and the female energies to begin to live in perfect harmony and balance.” (Pg. 64)

“Humanity is growing at too fast a rate for its spiritual understanding… and by so doing is polluting the very land which provides the necessary food for its existence… Humanity is not tampering with that sacred being, Mother Nature, in order to achieve a short-term gain without considering the long-term implications. There is therefore approaching a time of famine, of drought, of pestilence, as Nature reacts to what Humanity has done to her…. This change … is something which you should welcome if you … can see the purpose of rebirth. Remember that the symbol of the Aquarian Age is the phoenix.” (Pg. 115)

“If you eat meat, just consider that it is that you are really eating… if you eat meat which is imbued with the animal’s fears and aggressions, then you are partaking of those fears and those aggressions. What you eat controls what you are.” (Pg. 136)

“[There is] one essential question. I ask you to look into your hearts and to say ‘Am I truly God-centered?’ Do you really believe that there is … a God that is not just to be found in the Bible and other holy books of this World… but a God that truly dwells in your own hearts and is unique to you?” (Pg. 244)

This book may appeal to people who enjoy such channeled teachings.
