At the age of seventeen, I made a huge mistake, one that continues to haunt me to this day. Although I'm no longer the dumb kid whose sexual experimentation went wrong, I'm smart enough to know my true desires make me unsafe for any woman. So, I bury them deeply, hoping one day I might actually convince myself they no longer exist. Until I achieve that impossible fea

Connor and Maddie are closed off, sarcastic, and use members of the opposite gender for sex only. Each had a bad experience in their late teens because of naiveté, and they've been stuck in a rut ever since. When they meet, they feel intense attraction and become each other's biggest challenge. Can they move beyond their histories to set up a life together, or will they be stuck in a holding pattern?

Ok here goes. I loved this book. It is a series and we first meet Connor and Madison in the first book in the series. Madison is Chloe’s best friend and roommate. Conner is Jayson identical twin brother. The books in the series so far run concurrently, so in this book you get Jayson and Chloe as well. The relationship between Connor and Madison is not perfect by any means, I think that’s why I like it so much. This book has so many feels in it. It has drama, laughter, and tears. My heart breaks ...more

If there is one thing we learn from Living Out Loud by Melody Dawn it should be to never believe the internet without re-checking it first – expecially when it could really cause damages that will most probably follow you for the rest of your life.

Jayson's (which we met in the first book of this series) twinbrother Conner had to find out the hard way that the internet is not a reliable source for every kind of information. Haunted by his experiences he feels he is not normal … not safe for any

There aren't enough words in the world to fully express how in love I am with Connor F*@!ing Reece. He and Madison or a match made in heaven.

Every since I read To Live Again and This is Living I was anxious to get my hand on Living Out Loud. And, when I did, I DEVOURED IT.
Ms. Melody Dawn definitely does not disappoint.

Melody Dawn is a new author for me and this book was epic! It made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me fall in love. These characters are so lovable and believable that you end up rooting for them in the end. If you need an author to get hooked on, Melody Dawn is the one!

Connor Reece is swoon worthy, he had a bad experience when he was a teen and he has vowed never to give his heart to a woman, so he hides behind the player rep that he has built up, random hook us no strings, but underneath it all Connor has a heart and he has it closed off that is until he meets his brothers girlfriends best friend Maddie, she is feisty, smart and has a mouth on her. Living Out Loud is the second book in The Living Series. We first met Connor and Madison in To Live Again. Madison is the best friend to Chloe the main female character in TLA, and Connor is Jayson, the main male character's twin brother. There was just something about Connor's character in book 1. I was drawn to him and wanted to know more about him, to find out his story. Ms. Dawn did not disappoint at all with Connor's story. This man is so complex. He has a dirty mouth and a heart of gold. I have to start by saying how much I loved how the author started Connor's story. BDSM is popular in the romance industry these days, and we usually get thrown into the story without a lot of background on how the guy started his road to becoming a dominant. In this case, we are introduced to Connor's clumsy attempt at a first time and struggles in the subsequent years to accept himself. I loved how supportive his parents were and his personal journey to accepting his desires and emotions. I als ...more

Emotional and angsty combo…

I knew, I just knew Connor and Madison’s story was going to be an emotion-filled powerhouse with drama aplenty. Not that I have to be right all the time but this time, I was more than happy to be right! With Jayson and Chloe’s story already told I couldn’t wait to hear how Connor and Madison, who were both such a part of their relationship, fared in their round with Cupid…

Connor is tortured by events from years ago and all his relationships, if you can call them that,

Melody Dawn has outdown herself with Living Out Loud. I could hardly wait to hear Connor and Madison's story. Their flirtiness and chemistry intrigued me in To Live Again and This is Living. Melody Dawn delivered it beautifully.

We are given a little background to Connor's past and find out what he is curious about as a seventeen year old. The understanding he receives from family had me just as shocked as Connor but not really all that surprised.

Connor Reece is going to be your next BBF, after his twin Jayson Reece. Connor has a sexual experience at 17 that affects his future experiences and how he treats women. Everything changes, once he meets Maddie! They are perfect for each other because they both are just alike in regards to sex. I could go on and on about this book, but I don't want to give any spoilers, lol. I highly recommend this book to everyone over 18. Although it isn't necessary, i suggest reading To Live Again and This is ...more

It is great to finally get Connor’s and Madison’s story. Since meeting the twins and getting Jayson and Chloe’s story, it felt like forever getting here. Just like the other books, I loved this one. I didn’t fall right into the book in beginning, but once it moved on to the present and the POVs started alternating, I could not read it fast enough because it was that good.
I don’t feel that it’s completely necessary to have read the other books before reading this one, but since it is a series I b

All she wants is someone to protect her. While Conner is Jayson twin brother. Conner is so swoon worthy. Conner has his heart closed off because of his past. Connor has met his match Madison. Connor f@cking Reece!!! I Flove these characters. Connor likes control in ALL aspects of his life and that includes Madison! But will she follow her heart this time or allow her past to devour her happiness? Can she face her past to ensure her future is free for Connor? I Flove these two! Be prepared to want to spank her yourself! It's a love/hate tug of war!
And what about Ava and Phillip! Seriously! I love these parents! What a strong father to help guide his son through a tough phase in life!

Melody Dawn does it again - wow! The way her words reach into your very soul - yanking it out kicking and screaming, beat it seven ways to Sunday before tenderly tucking it back in - is incredible. A sexual misadventure when he was seventeen, haunts Connor Reece and has adversely affected every relationship (or should that be fleeting sexual encounter) since. Then he meets Madison, a very spirited girl with her own secrets, and sparks fly.

It's clear from the get go these two have something spec

I love a non-perfect relationship. Melody has a way to develop characters so you can relate to them as “normal” people. Her characters are ones you want to invite to a cookout, hang out as friends, or even be your neighbors. This whole series has a vast amounts of emotions, probably one of the reasons I love it so much.

Connor and Madison have more in common than they want to admit. Madison is the female version of Connor, and a match made for heaven. These two bring out the best in each other. C

When I received my book I was a bit shocked that it was a bit long. By the end of the book I was hoping and praying for more pages. I kept slowing down to make the book last longer. When I got to the end and saw the ad for the next book in the series I immediately went to see if it might be available now. I wanted and needed more and more and more. For someone who was thinking, "holy cow that's a big book" to desperately looking for more pages. It just doesn't get much better folks. I loved this ...more

Living Out loud by Melody Dawn is book 2 in the Living Series. It's a contemporary romance series that focuses on a different couple each book but in the same realty. I haven't yet read book 1, however, it seems that this book might run along side book 1 rather then after it. Living out Loud is Connor and Madison's story. It has a unique writing style that once I got used to it, I really enjoyed. Flicking between Connors past and present as we grow with him during his younger years was a great w ...more

Living Out Loud is a part of The Living Series by Melody Dawn. We first meet Connor Reece in To Live Again. You could potentially read this book as a stand alone but there is so much chemistry between the characters, especially being the Reece twins, that you really should read the earlier books in the series.
Even though Connor has a twin brother, he is different than his brother. Don't get me wrong, he is really close with his brother and family but some things are just too embarrassing for hi
This is book 2 in the series and can be read as a standalone, but you will definitely want to go back and read the other Reece brother. Trust me! We saw Connor and Madison in book 1. Connor is the older twin brother to Jayson. Madison is Chloe's best friend. We all knew that there was a story to these two, but based upon what we read in book 1 on them I totally did not expect their stories to be like this.

Every person faces times in their life where they are defined by the moment, changed in some way, or held captive by the memory. In Living Out Loud, both Madison and Connor had experienced from the past that have paralyzed a part of their life—that part which impacts the heart. Both Connor and Madison believe they are tainted and unworthy, throwing themselves into meaningless one night stands or relationships that mean nothing. How can the heart get broken when there is no feeling involved?

I was so excited to read Connor and Madison's story and boy it was everything I hoped it would be. How Melody Dawn creates characters that are absolutely real and have you feeling their struggles is beyond me. Living Out Loud is undoubtly one of my 2016 favorites.

We begin with a seventeen year old Connor trying a few things he read online that appealed to him to do with his girlfriend. We find out his aren't surprised by his curiosity and that leaves Connor shocked and in disbelief.

This is book 2 in this amazing series. Book 1 & 1. 5 revolves around Connor's twin brother Jayson & Madison's best friend Chole who meet first. It's not necessary to read these first but I highly recommend it as you will want to read in order to learn about all the Reece family members and it is worth it. The author did an amazing job with tying in this book to the first book & the novella as unlike other books these two relationships are actually happening at the same time. This book was ahhh-mazing!!

This is book two of the Living Series and is Connor and Madison's story. If you read book 1 and 1.5 you know that Connor is Jayson's equally sexy twin brother and Madison is Chloe's best friend.
Connor and Madison met when Jayson and Chloe had lunch to discuss their class project and it was instant attraction. They both come with some pretty heavy baggage and will have to come to terms with things from their pasts or their relationship will never survive.

I've loved romance since I was old enough to understand it. I began reading my gram's Harlequins as a teenager and became addicted to Happily Ever After's. I got my own HEA when I met my soulmate. It was instalove at first sight and we've been together ever since.

I spend most of my time reading, writing, and spending time with my main guy. In addition, I have a not so secret addiction to organizi
