An endearing, fun and sexy, friends to lovers romance full of emotion, charming characters, witty dialog that “Lured me In” and hooked me ‘til the very end.
“What happens on the boat, stays on the boat.”

Forget her imminent panic attacks when she gets near any mass of water, Jessi Todd just about tossed her cookies when she found out a famous fishing show hosted by her ex would be filming at the Buoys. Because even though he’s the nicest guy she’s ever met, her feelings for her best friend, F

I really enjoyed the first book of this series, so I was eager to get my hands on this one. Even more once I saw it was Jessie's story.

I loooooved her in the first book and she was just as awesome this time around. She's smart and strong and stands up to these boys like there's no tomorrow. And yet it's Finn who completely undoes her. Finn is brash and maybe a little sullen, but when he's with Jessie, it's like a kid in a candy store. Reading the two of them figure this out was so amusing.

Another cute but kinda slow romance on friends turned to lovers. Not my favorite trope but still something I like if presented well. The whole I-had-a-torch-for-you-when-we-were-sixteen kinda has rubbed off me though XD

Still Finn and Jess were a cute pair and I’m happy there weren’t any unnecessary third party drama although I was pretty much so mad with Liam and Kate at one point for totally intervening in their private ma

4 stars.. I fell sooo HARD for Finn and the other O'Donnell boys ❤️❤️❤️
God, these characters are amazing and the writing is freaking addictive!!
The reason it got 4 instead of 5 is because of the way things got wrapped up in the end.
That could've been written with some more anxiety I think?
Dunno.. but that just lacked a bit in comparison to the rest of the book.
But damn, did I ENJOY this book ❤️❤️
Intense, emotional and sexy!

I loved Lured In, a great addition to the Fishing For Trouble series.
The storyline was entertaining, the characters were likable and endearing.
I loved watching them fall in love and find their HEA.

Another fab read by Laura Drewry, if you're looking for a well written, entertaining and heartwarming read I highly recommend the Fishing for Trouble series.

God, I was so BORED. This was just not to my liking at all. I struggled to finish it because I couldn't stand the heroine and the hero options made me roll my eyes. I guess it would have worked better for me if things rolled out a bit differently but when two adults are worse than pre-teens in terms of feelings and relationships, I'm done. As a relatively put together youngish adult, I couldn't deal. I wanted to like the story because the overview was interesting but the story itself just didn't ...more

Review: I love love love a good friends-to-lovers romance! There's something so sweet about seeing the relationship change between two friends. It was a really nice change to see that it was the guy n this case who realised his feelings before the girl.

Sure wish this book "lured" me in, but I just kinda bobbed along the waters edge waiting to be hooked and reeled. It was an okay read. Likeable characters, good conversation, well written, and a decent romance. Guess I was needing more angst, more gutsy testosterone, more of those real "gah" moments! Others may totally love this one.

This is the second book of a series, but definitely a stand alone.

Jessie Todd is back working at Buoys, a place she was given a job thirteen years ago at age sevente

Lured In is the second book in the Fishing For Trouble series but it can be read as a stand alone. However, this is a really great series so I would recommend reading Off the Hook first so that you get to know the entire family. The first book was about Liam O'Donnell and this one was about Finn and Jess

This was definitely not an insta-love story. Maybe because lately all I've been reading is insta-love/lust, Lured In seems such a nice change of pace. I liked discovering just how special Jess and Finn were to each other. I liked that there was a history of friendship between them. It added that extra layer to their relationship that made me believe that their bond would last.

This story isn't just about a romance between friends. Lured In also ha

It seems Laura Drewry has become a sure thing as I knew I was going to love this story. All my expectations were met and exceeded! The second in the Fishing for Trouble series we get to know baby brother Finn O'Donnell and the woman who truly runs The Buoys, Jessie Todd.

Finn is connected with the island as though it's a part of his soul. He has the most to lose if this go tits up so making sure the The Buoys succeeds is highly important to him. He really couldn't have known ho much his life wou

Lured In is another sweet read in the Fishing for Trouble series. I adored Jessie and Finn, they were both such interesting characters with emotional pasts. There were times the story moved a bit slow and I started to skim but overall this was a nice, easy read. I'm loving all the characters at the Buoys. I know I can always count on Drewry to provide enjoyable contemporary romances, can't wait for the next one!

#2 in the Fisher for Trouble romance series

Thank you to NetGalley for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great friends-to-lovers romance. Both Finn and Jessie have trust issues, so it's a big deal for them to venture into a romantic relationship. Plus who knows what will happen to their friendship and the whole fishing camp dynamic if they hook up and things don't work out. But they can't resist, and I was happy they got together since they are both strong and ca

I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I liked Jessie in the first book and I loved her here. The woman’s competent, tough exterior hides some seriously damaging past traumas and current insecurities. She is well matched with Finn, a man who has sworn off women and relationships; a man who hides his own insecurities behind a handsome and charming facade.

There were a few moments in this book where Jessie was a little bit too Bridget Jones, plagued by dating anxietie

When the Fishing for Trouble series started I knew I was going to get into it right away for many different reasons. First, the plot was really different from others books that are currently out now. This series follows three brothers who recently took over their deceased fathers fishing charters and lodge in the Buoys. Second is the very enjoyable and likable characters that come together to make the improvements to the lodge s

YES!!!! This second book has definitely upped the game in the romance department. I was so pleased to see that the chemistry between Finn and Jess was so much more prevalent and really helped control the flow of the story.

Finn and Jess have been friends since the day that she landed on this island to take a job. A scared, green at the gills teen of 17 looking to leave her life behind and live a new one. One where her past l

This is the second in the series - and excellent! Do read them in order, as they are sequential, but involving another brother! I loved the first book where we met all the main characters who feature here too.

Jessie was without doubt the glue that held the whole place together and her hard work had ensured that there was a place for the men to inherit. She is so fiercely loyal and yet so afraid of water, the very reason

This is my second jaunt with this series and book two was my favourite so far. I'm here to tell you that fishing is sexy; yes, I do mean that. This whole concept has caused some chuckles with book friends but it does work. At the core of this series is a family trying to pull together with somewhat fractured relationships to make their island fishing trips financially stable. I get that gutting a fish is not the height of a sexy scene but Laura Drewry managed to make it so.

**I received this book from Random House-Loveswept through NetGalley for an honest review.**

Jess has a serious phobia of the water despite working at a resort that you can only reach by boat. Finn is her boss and part owner of the Bouys, and has been nursing a crush on Jess for some time now .

I won’t lie. The start of this really had me a little confused. It felt like too much was happening and it gave me a bit of a brain fart.

This was a very slow read that I honestly wished was a little faste
Lured In is the second book in the Fishing for Trouble series. Lured In is a friends to lovers romance but with the Laura Drewry touch. Ms. Drewry draws me in in the quietness and simplicity of her stories. The real life aspect of it, the friendships and those emotions everyday people feel are her strong suits and Lured In is no exception. Finn and Jessie have known each other since they were seventeen, when Jessie just turned up in O'Donnell's small fishing resort. And for thirteen years they'v ...more

I love this series because it reminds me so much of my father who was one of the pioneers of sports fishing in my country. So much of the terminology is familiar from my childhood when he was teaching us what he knew.

Lured in is Finn and Jessie's story. I think the are going to be my favorite couple of this series. Jessie's backstory intrigued me in the first book and I found her friendship with Finn very endearing. Seeing them together in this book made me very happy. In spite of being cranky

LOVED this book! It's the second in the Fishing for Trouble series but easily read standalone. I adored Jessie in the first book and she's just as lovable this time around. Since she first came to work at The Buoy's Jessie and Finn have always been close. Of all the O'Donnell brothers Finn is the one that completely got her. Their relationship seems to be changing now. Is she ready to risk what they have for something more? Is he? What if it doesn't work? More importantly what if it does? This i ...more
