5 *Amazing, Beautiful Stars*!!!!! I adored this story and these characters! I am a huge sucker for anything to do with dogs and this had my heart smiling! Another huge love of mine is for anything to do with the Military and our Veterans. As the Mother of a Soldier with many deployments under his belt, this story really touched me. Emma is amazing and Isaiah - don't get me started on the hot, sweet, awesome guy! Highly recommend this book!

I feel like this book was designed to maximize impact on my feels. From the adorable cover, to the heartwarming premise, everything about Soldier’s Heart screamed my name. I was not disappointed. This book tackles some pretty heavy subject matter—stirring up tears and this whole whirlwind of emotions that didn’t die down until the (lovely and satisfying) epilogue. That said, it didn’t feel like a heavy book. The heavy pieces were balanced out with touches of light humor and…puppies. That’s right ...more

Of all the categories of Romance that exist, Military Romance is my absolute favorite. In reality, service members have difficulty overcoming obstacles of love because of the things they witness and endure in their careers. I love when authors of Military Romance accurately discuss things such as PTSD and touch on elements of the life of someone serving and defending our country because it brings awareness to readers of the struggles and sacrifices of those people.

This is my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it.

Isaiah is finding each day a struggle. He's suffering from PTSD.
Emma is also broken. She's struggling to move on from the loss of a loved one.
Can these two broken souls help each other to heal?

This is a beautiful emotional read that I read in one sitting. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Heartwarming military trope with feels. Cover alone it grabbed my dog loving heart. As a owner of a Golden Retriever I can attest to how easy it is to love them. Such wonderful personalities and sweet dogs. This made this story more meaningful and a cause I believe in. A feel good kind of read with serious notes of PTSD.
The feels. That is what I would use as a perfect description of this book. The feels. What exactly does that mean? It means that no matter where you are in this book you will feel some emotion. That to me is the perfect formula to a great book. If you don't fall in love with Isaiah and Emma you may just need to leave the romance genre because this is the perfect example of a great formula to a great book.

Typically I am not one to start a series in the middle, however, I was not away that this wa

I have just spent the entire day in bed reading this book. It is Good Friday and raining outside so the perfect opportunity to get lost in Isaiah & Emma's story.

Isaiah is a broken man. Two of his mates were killed in combat, right beside him and he lives his life buried under the guilt and remorse that it should have been him. He believes it was his fault they died and he will forever regret the decisions he made that day. He struggles with nightmares, panic attacks and sorrow gnaws at his h

I was pulled right into this story. This is the first story I read by this author and I was not disappointed. The story has laughs, pain, PTSD, cute puppies, stalker, and heartbreak.

This is Emma and Isaiah’s story. Emma owns a business that trains service dogs. Isaiah’s therapists sent him to Emma so he can heal and help train a dog for his friend. Isaiah does not like dogs but he will do anything for his friend. He has PTSD and when he starts to have an attack Emma and a cutie puppy pu

This book has all the feels! It's actually a very sweet book that gives you the insight of what it is like to live with PTSD. It hurts to think how many soldiers come back with it and don't get the help they need.

One heart broken and one man that feels broken. Throw in a couple of puppies and Maggie and you definitely have a winning combination. You get to see them as friends at first and then that friendship grow into something more.

I honestly loved this book and will definitely be reading mor

Let me begin with I had not read the first book in this series as you don’t need to – they are stand alones – but let me know add that I immediately went and clicked on the Safe Distance the minute I turned the last page of Soldier’s Heart .. yes .. it was that good. The cover of Soldier's Heart ... sigh ... it took my breath away as crazy as that sounds but after you read the book look at it again.

There is so much I want to say about this book but first I want

I recently finished Soldier's Heart and I loved it! It rotates the POV from Emma to Isaiah so you get the full experience from both aspects. Both have their own fears to face, but seem to have a common ground. Coming from a small town near a military base, situations in the book are considered a common occurrence in the area that I live. The trials and tribulations in this book are sad but true. Through Megan's words, you get to experience the harsh reality of how some of our veterans return to ...more

I could not put this book down, that is how much I loved Emma and Isaiah's story. It had everything I look for in a book - it was sweet, funny, and had a hint of suspense.

Megan did an awesome job bringing this story to life for me. Often I felt like I was just sitting in a corner and watching everything play out like a movie.

I'm glad Emma finally got her ending she deserved and can't wait until Megan's next release.

I loved this book from Megan! Such a great follow-up to Safe Distance, even though they're standalones. It was nice to still get a glimpse of Haylee and Ryan while watching Emma and Isaiah's relationship grow into something neither of them were looking for or knew they wanted. A beautiful story about loss and how to overcome it with the help of those around you.

Well done, Megan!!!

I just finished Soldier's Heart & absolutely loved it! This is the second book in a series, but can certainly be read as a stand alone. Emma and Isaiah's story was very unique, filled with love, loss, suspense and adorable puppies being trained for PTSD; however, I must say my favorite character was Jasper.

This was my first book by this author and I loved it. A sweet gentle romance with lots of heart. I loved watching Isiah open up and break down the barriers causing some of his traumas. Emma is a beautiful soul, open and giving, with a sassy sense of humour.

I love the idea of service dogs to assist soldiers returning from deployment who suffer from PTSD etc, especially when veterans are also given the opportunity to volunteer as part of their therapy.

I found this slow burn romance easy to read.

Emma and Isaiah were amazing. The banter, the pups, the friendship. Isaiah was broken from the war. Emma was there to sew him back up. Lovely.

I absolutely fell in love with these two. Emma had already been through something so so tragic with Chris. I was hoping to see her find love once again. Isaiah was the absolute perfect man for her. He was broken and needed help. Her and Jasper was exactly what he needed. This whole story was amazing and can't wait to start the next in the series.

While this book is the second in a series, you do not have to read the first book for this one to make sense, or to get the whole story. I feel like I knew everything I needed to know going into this story from the get-go; but now that I know who book one is about I will go back and read it soon as well! Just to see their story!

We start this book off with Emma - a girl who's heart was broken four years previous when her fiance was killed overseas, he was a soldier. She now lives in

So I don't know where to start with the review of this book. I guess can start with this book was not what I though it was going to be. Well kinda, I knew it was going to be about a solider and girl after his heart and lets not to leave out the service dogs. I LOVE DOGS!! I don't how to shout that more than i really love them. So i was excited to read this book once i read the synopsis of the book. I will dive in now.
