If you’re a fan of the Deviant Moon Tarot and appreciate Valenza’s unique art, get this book. If you have the tarot deck, then you know the booklet that came with the cards is very short as far as explaining each card. This book goes into depth on each cards’ meanings and Valenza explains his creative process and inspirations. I found this book helpful in revealing the symbolism of each card and how it relates to the card’s meaning.

this is an incredibly rich and detailed account of the tarot baring the same name, Deviant Moon. the artist created a vivid rich world that touches on the madness in us all. the book is his journey into making that world become real to the rest of us. he adds in other photos, artwork, and details of how each card came to life for him.

i admit that i'm struggling with the surrealism of the deck, but the colors are stunning and being borderless just increases the vivid work involved in this deck.
