My life was simple... until Bo Brendon crashed into my lap. Shy girls aren't my thing, yet somehow, she's under my skin and in my head. It's a f*cking nightmare. Yet it's a nightmare I don't want to give up.

Jax Marshall was an accident. A really sexy, smart, incredibly smooth, hot... accident. He's the kind of guy you shouldn't fall in love with, becau

Captivating!!! Hilarious!!! BookSmacked!!!

I am still recovering a week later from this book. C.M. Owens continues to put out Amazing reads. This book is a great mixture of comedy and angst which to me is a prize winning formula for a deliciously fantastic book.

Identical Disaster is the 8th book in the Sterling Shore Series by C.M. Owens. However this book can be read as a standalone and has a dual POV.

The main characters are Boliva (Bo) and Jax. What happens when a favor leads to a unexpected serie

Bo. She honestly made this story for me. She had funny moments, sweet moments, and very insightful moments...
I suck at lying. I suck at pretending to be Bora. I suck at life right now.
I’m unable to stop myself from falling for him, and he doesn’t even want to think about a future.
I hate the fact people mistake my “nice” demeanor as being weak.
I really enjoyed the beginning and watching the two of them come together. I was glad that Jax wasn't brushing off all the discrepancies, and even thougmoments...

There have been so many times throughout this series where I have changed my mind about who my favourite is, I have to say Jax and Bo have knocked them all down a peg! These two definitely steal the top spot on my list.

I loved Bo instantly in this book, we didn't see too much of her previously so I wasn't that sure what to expect. Bo was a pushover, she let people walk over the top of her especially her twin sister. I really felt for her at times, no one really cared about
Bo, Bolivia, finds breaking up with her twin sisters boyfriends draining. Bo though feels that the soon to be ex's need closure, instead of just dumped without a word. Her newest breakup target is Jax Marshall. When Bo sees Jax, she can't help but wonder why her sister is dumping the magnificent specimen of man, she doesn't expect to be rushed on a vacation she knew nothing about with his family. Now Bo has to pretend to be her identical twin and survive the vacation with the amorous man without ...more

Bloody Fantastic!!!!
Yet again C.M.Owens has given us an amazing story with so much to offer. Every one of her books are thoroughly enjoyable!
Identical Disaster offers a refreshingly different storyline with hilarious moments along the way. For so much of the story I just couldn't keep a smile off my face.
Bo and Jax's story starts with a hilarious lie that makes you laugh out loud with the characters, watching it play out. All of her characters have something great to offer.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am HUGE fan of C. M. Owens so it isn't a surprise that I squeal when I know she has a new release. I can never wait to see what sexy couple in steamy compromising positions she will write about next. I also wonder what new inside joke will develop that only fans of the Sterling Shore series will understand and break into hysterics over. I never finish one of C. M. Owens books without a new book boyfriend, sore abs from laughing, and in an amo

Identical Disater is book 8 in the Sterling Shore Series. It can be read as a stand-alone but, I HIGHLY recommend you read the other 7 books as well!!!

Boliva (Bo) Brendon is the definition of a "pushover." She lets everyone take advantage of her and doesn't know how to just tell someone "no." Especially when it comes to her identical sister, Bora. So when Bora asks Bo to break up with another one of her boyfriends yet again, of course she says yes. Bo has don

Book Review - Identical Disaster

I can always count on CM to write a story that gives me all the feels and a whirlwind of emotions.

I was lucky enough to receive ID during the Midwest blizzard as an ARC for an honest review. A snow day with Jax and Bo, not to shabby. As for their story this one was different from the rest, mainly because Jax and Bo aren't a key part in the "group" setting, they are friends of friends and therefore didn't know each other. I really enjoyed this component, AND not to mention the whole TWIN aspect. I thought

C.M. Owens does it again <3

This book was another amazing story, and a 5 star read all the way. It had it all from laughter to tears and love to sorrow. I read it in one day and I must say that this is up there with my favorite Owens' books <3
C.M. is so amazingly talented and she just has a way with words...

Couldn't do it

I love the sterling shore series, but out of all the hard to swallow obstacles this one was a hurtle that I couldn't jump. Our hero had had a previous relationship with our heroines sister. A relationship that was FRESH. The fact alone that he had been with a family member alone was a deal breaker, but this was her twin, and they started out with him thinking she's her sister. Now that said, this was not a bad book, it was also funny as well as a well written. It's just a ha

I just love this series more with every new book that comes out. This story was really enjoyable.

It is so smart to do a book about the lesser known characters every once in a while, their books just come out awesome every time.

Never thought I would like Jax so much. His and Bo's story is one of my new favorites... I say that with every new book that comes out though...

Can't wait for Ethan and Bella's story!

Wow I was very curious how this story would play out involving twins and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Such a great story and my new favorite Sterling Shore Couple . Bo and Jax are so great and seem to be able to embrace the crazy together. I don't want to give much away but this is a must read .

Identical Disaster

Jax: is a private person who doesn’t have time for a relationship, hates clingy girls, shy girls and quiet girls.

Bo: is an identical twin who is always looking out for others forgoing her own wants or needs to make others happy and feel wanted and appreciated.
Bo is everything Jax would normally walk away from but he cannot work out why she draws him in so much.

Identical Disaster was an amazing read, dealing with yet another break up req

This is CM Owens writing at its finest. Whenever this lady puts pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) she produces nothing less than 5 stars.

This book is full of laugh out loud, side splitting, belly ache laughter; throw in plenty of hot and steamy sex scenes, a few argh moments and a glimpse of our favourite Sterling Shore residents, and you get one of the best books of the Sterling Shore series to date.

For me this book was definitely on the lighter side of life. I love how this author can ta

Just okay

Good writing but not as good as the beginning of the series. The humor was funny at first except it got cheesy for me. The halfway twist on the h reinventing herself to be assertive was a surprise. It was like a pleaser person who needs to stop being a pushover. Did not make sense on how he broke her so she decided she had enough. I think the book would've been better if it was shorter. Too much filler dialogues from other characters talking about her greatness and as a giving pers

Anyone who has been reading this series knows that these books are always a fun read even through the angst because hey there is always a twist it remains an enjoyable read. Max and Bo's story is no different with the twin switch, the rock star crazy dad and appearances by the gang we have all come to love the disaster doesn't seem like such a catastrophe after all. And along the line we see how sometimes it takes a disaster to help us with self actualization ,growth and setting boundaries for o ...more

Another fantastic book from CM Owens

Reasons to read this book? It's freaking awesome, surely that's enough? If the thought of a vain aging rocker in Speedos doesn't make you laugh then perhaps this book isn't for you, but seriously how does that not make you laugh. Identical Disaster isn't the ugly cry book that some of the others in the series are but that's not to say it doesn't put your emotions on a rollercoaster and there are plenty of laughs do yourself a favour get this book even if y

Stupid Names

The story was not bad, but the names are so stupid (Bora and Bolivia) that I must deduct a rating star. The names are so bad that they distracted me. Why do authors choose such silly, abnormal names?
The story is good and deserves to be read.

The plot itself? Well, for the first time (in terms of this series) I gotta say it wasn't that plausible.
I mean, yeah okay so there are identical twins and they are the daughters of a legend, a rockstar. And yet, the public doesn't know about them. Aha.
And then... Bo breaking up with her sister's boyfriends for her? Well... Just... No. I think I have read something similar before and I didn't buy it then and I don't buy it now.

But other than that, again, I very much enjoy

As with every book in this series, this one being no different, it was a fantastic hilarious read.
Reading the synopsis I wasn't how Owens would pull it off, but pull it off she did.

Bo, again having to break up with her twin, Bora's boyfriends, turns up at Jax's house to do just that, but finds herself on a family trip to Hawaii. Deciding she'll contact Bora when she gets there so she can take over and do the deed herself, a brilliant plan (so she thinks) turns put not be so bri

No cliffhanger
Standalone though part of a larger series
Told from both POVs
Minor editing issues throughout

I have loved every book in the series and this one is no exception. The past few books have been filled with hysterical dialogue and pranks so this was a nice change of pace. This book is far more emotional than the last few

Bo is an identical twin. To be more specific she is the "good twin". The one you can always count on, the one who cleans up the o

OMG this story took me back into the world I love. Sterling Shore is one of my favorite places to visit with some beloved characters. It is unique in its telling because Bo and Jax started off somewhat outside of the Sterling Shore crew. I was shocked at how little the initial deceptive part of their relationship bothered me. It didn’t feel malicious but more about being protective. Yes I am working hard to keep this spoiler free so you just have to read it to see if you agree (haha). Several he ...more

I wanted to like this book. I liked the premise and the idea. But it fell flat. Instead of being fun and angsty the games between them felt tiresome. It appeared the characters wanted each other sexually but the author was never able to convince me why they liked each others personalities.
The book defiantly had potential but it just didn’t do it for me. I stopped reading 60% of the way through.
