When Lucas and Niara first became friends when he was just a toddler, he could never have imagined the adventures they would go on, or the ways they would change each other's lives. Lucas is a typical ten year old boy, who for as long as he can remember, has had a pet elephant no one else can see. It isn't until the night before his first day of fourth grade he realizes how real she truly is, when he starts visiting her in Africa almost every night in his dreams. Struggling with being teased at school, his visits to Africa become a welcome escape, but as he spends more time there he finds out there are much bigger problems on the other side of the world. Tsavo Dreams is a story about how the unconditional friendship of two friends can overcome anything. That just because you're a kid, it doesn't mean you can't change the world around you and make it a better place.

I am wife to a wonderful husband, and mother to two beautiful children. Although I put food on the table and a roof over our heads by selling auto parts, my passions lie in the more creative aspects of life.
While at the University of Wyoming I studied Textiles and Merchandising, where I was able to hone my skills as a seamstress. While honing those skills and discovering my love for knitting and design, my writing took a back seat to my more physical creative outlets. It continued to hide in the background until I found NaNoWrimo in November of 2014 where I won, writing the rough draft of my first novel.
Since then writing has pushed to the front, fighting for more of my creative attentions. I write everyday now, even if it’s only for a little bit, and my hard work has since paid off. I published my debut novel, Tsavo Dreams, January 15, 2016. That book was just the beginning. I will continue to write. I have so many stories to tell.
So, now I find myself struggling to find the time to put words on the page and yarn around my needles before the muse is lost. There are simply not enough hours in the day, and I’m sure there never will be.
