This book revolutionized my skiing abilities and as a result gave me many of the most thrilling and enjoyable days of my life. I loved skiing but for many years it had almost always come with effort and disappointment. When I read Lito's book and put into practice his methods, I almost instantly got out of the novice/intermediate rut and began skiing with what felt like effortless joy!

This is a 1986 book, and I'm reading it again! I've been skiing since the early 1940s, have been a ski instructor (1950s) and skiing regularly up until about 10 years ago. Grandchildren were grown, family felt I was too old, etc. Now I'm headed for Heavenly Valley next week and am rereading Breakthrough on Skis for the umpteenth time. It is still the best book I've read on skiing!
I see that the author, Lito Tejada-Flores is now offering videos. I'll check them out over the weekend.
