The book is a compilation of several of Tristan's columns in the Village Voice, other places, and a few original pieces. It's an exciting ride through Taormino's adventures in the world of sex, kink, politics and queerness. Overall, it's a very enjoyable and eye opening read, but light on the "hot and steamy."
I'm most impressed with how well she expresses herself. Her writing style is very light and easy to read but at the same time she covers some deep and thought provoking ideas. Through it all, she really bares her heart and soul - She says it's all true!
The book is a quick read, clearly separated by subject/genre. The sections are titled: The Sexual is Political, Paying for it, True Lust Adventures, Fuck Your Gender, Calling the Shots in Pornville. Great evening material and definitely inspiring. Also a fun book to read with a friend because it will surely inspire lots of dialogue, curiosity and maybe even more.
Here, Tristan make some accounts about Sexual perversion and for production of Porn, in this book there is some narrations of ex pron people and some recommendations that they put the general population. In fact I congratulate Tristan for such hard working she present in order to enjoy a sexual and healthy life.
while her gender politics are really fucking awesome, and she has a lot of thoughtful things to say, i find it frustrating that her analysis falls short of any sort of critique of the commercialization of sex/capitalism.
I absolutely love her books, want to rev up your sex life. Buy 1 of her books and it's guaranteed to show you a little something you've never thought of. ;)
