So I have been on a bit of a smut/Fiona Davenport binge lately and, sadly, this one is probably my least favorite to date.
It follows the same basic formula as all of her other stuff so far, i.e., insta-love, insta-smut, insta-everything....which is fine by me when I'm reading smut.
However, this one went a little overboard on the fairy tale romantic gestures for my taste.
Sorry, Ariel, but it's true.
So how OTT, you ask?

In this story, not only did we have the wealthy dude's private plane ride capped off with the helicopter ride to their final destination...
We had oral sex in the ski lift - cause you know, ROMANCE novel - followed by some romantic skiing...
A romantic gondola ride, complete with the required romance novel list of fancy shcmancy romance food and beverage...
Directly followed by a horse drawn carriage ride...
...And all topped off with some ice skating....
Interspersed in there between all of these romantic snow bunny events, of course, was some of this:

But I gotta say...after the private jet and the helicopter I was a little...
And after the oral sex-fest of a ski lift, the actual ski trip, and the gondola ride, I was, well...
But after that gondola ride segued right into a fucking horse drawn carriage ride AND some ice skating?
I mean, for fucks sake, people.
I know I have the romantic sensibilities of a cockroach at a funeral - despite my love of romance novels - but still. This just seemed like it would be a little over the top for any-fucking-body.
But no worries, on to my next Fiona Davenport, I'm sure!

I have such weakness for super fun, quick and sexy read featuring an OTT Alpha hero and this one was no exception. Brysen and Elisa’s story was pretty good and everything you could expect from the smutoholic duo Fiona Davenport.

Well it's official. I have a new author to stalk. If Ms. Davenport continues to write heroes like Brysen I will be snatching those babies up quicker than you can blink.
We meet Brysen and Elisa in book one. Brysen is a former NFL football player and Elisa is a realtor. They meet when she has an appointment to show Brysen houses and, it's on from there!
I absolutely 100% loved Brysen. He did everything right. One look at Elisa and he's done. He stalks, pushes, manipulates and obsesses just how I want my OTT heroes. He was freakin' awesome!
I liked Elisa too. Though she had moments of doubt, she went with the flow and didn't resist too much. Brysen has "multiple" ways of convincing her ;) We get a sweet epilogue that I loved. Now, I just have to wait for Charlotte's story.
Keep it up Ms. Davenport...we're counting on you!

Just did a reread of my favorite from The Risqué Contracts series. Man Bryson is one hot, alpha-possessive man. I loved him and Charlotte both. What girl wouldn't want to be swept off her feet the way Brysen did the sweeping lol.

Another wonderful read! A short hot story about Brysen, almost 31 and Elisa, 25.
Brysen had severely injured his shoulder that caused the end of his football career. He talked to Madeleine (book 1 h), his childhood friend and she told him to move out of his condo and buy a new house. She gave him the information of her realtor, Elisa and he went back to his hometown. That's when he met her.
He already knew that the first house was the one he wanted for them but he kept it to himself. He wanted to have more time with her so he asked her to show him other similar houses.
Elisa asked her younger sister, Charlotte to come with her in a work retreat because her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend he replaced her with while they were still together were there too but Charlotte needed to do something so Brysen offered to be her date.
They went to Lake Tahoe. He pampered her and treated her special. They had a great time together but at dinner, a confrontation happened and Brysen defended her.
They spent the rest of their time together and enjoyed it. Everything happened so fast between them but it was a good one. It's also nice that Caleb and Madeleine showed up too. And there's a cute epilogue and I'm excited to read the third book about Charlotte.

This was another super sweet and sexy read from this author!
Though not as OTT alpha as Caleb, Brysen held his own in the book boyfriend awards! *lol* Loved both characters, and the epilogue was SO sweet!
I'm really impressed so far with this author, and I can't wait for the next in the series. :)

We know he use to be somewhat of a manwhore and only because heroine mentioned it once . Heroine was no blushing virgin but no one has ever made her orgasm. no ow drama. there is her ex but he is a non issue! no condoms were used. no mentioned if they used them in past but I'm sure they did:)

Quick easy fun read.. we got a Former football star and agent house!!! Took a mini break from this tiny series now I'm back!!
Brysen was mention in the previous book and now he's looking to sorta settle down near his friends and enjoy retirement since his injury.. he meets Elisa who is selling him a gorgeous house but he doesnt wanna give in to easy since he wants to spend more time with her, for awhile he turns down every house and slowly starts building some sort of friendship and falling more for Elisa.. few have pass (time jump) they go to Elisa work retreat to make her ex bf jealous that she moved on and she did better (i love the pettyness).. but Brysen is also making his moves so they can finally get together.. and man he pulled out alot of moves.. and alot of sex.. like alot lol

I love these insta-love smutty (in the very best of ways) reads! Brysen and Elisa are HOT together...they steamed up every page.
What started out as a favor to serve as a buffer against Elisa's jerk of an ex turned into a trip where they fell deep in love and started working on their happily ever after. This is one of those stories that we've all imagined ourselves living through numerous times. Making the ex jealous with a handsome and buff new man who hangs all over us and has stars in his eyes while looking at us. Then to find that it's not all an act and that he really feels that way about us. Perfect fantasy material.

Definitivamente perdí mi tiempo leyendo este libro.
El protagonista esta vez es el mejor amigo de la prota femenina del libro anterior, y es igual de insufrible. Se enamora A PRIMERA VISTA de su agente inmobiliaria. No es una simple atracción a primera vista, es un sentimiento de "quiero que sea mi esposa y la madre de mi bebé". No exagero.
Y hablando de bebé... odio esa palabra como apodo cariñoso, me dan ganas de vomitar. El tercer libro de la trilogía independiente era el que más llamaba mi atención, pero no sé si leerlo, estos dos primeros son pura risa -en el mal sentido!-

Just another walk through the perfect alpha romance land of Fiona Davenport. Bryson made me want more when he appeared in all of his alpha protective glory in the previous book. I did a little dance when I realized that Elise was his heroine. These two jumped into love like two thrill chasing Para jumpers .. No safety net but the bonds of their instant connection kept them falling harder but softly landing into a perfect hea. Bryson definitely won not only her heart but the best game of his life. He got a super family.. Better than any trophy that's for sure.
I am so absolutely addicted to these perfect insta love stories I'm getting sad that I'm going to run out of reads by this author soon. She's definitely got a stalker that's for sure.

This was cute, not as believable as the previous one but cute and a bit sexy.
Elisa, a realtor is showing Bryson (former football star and playboy extraordinaire) a mansion, he's hit with insta-love and wants to live with her and their babies in the house but realizes he'll probably need to get to know her first.
After a few weeks of house-hunting, lunches and mild flirting, Elisa is in need of a date to take to her company retreat which her ex and the Barbie doll he cheated on her with will be attending. Bryson immediately offers to fill the job.
Pretty hot sex, and ok storyline and likable if not well-developed characters make this enjoyable for quick freebie.

Not wanting to say goodbye, Brysen pretends to not like the house so he'll have an excuse to see Elisa again. Over the next month, they see more homes and even meet for a couple of lunches. Elisa has to attend a work retreat and planned on taking her sister. When that doesn't work out, Brysen offers to be her contingency plan and go with her instead.
This is a quick relaxing read with a little heat and some sweet characters.

I liked the first book more. The h's desire to put one over on her ex and his GF was really childish. She took such pleasure in gloating about her good fortune. I found myself turned off my her character. I didn't buy the chemistry or relationship btw the H and h. It was as if one minute their strangers and the next they are all over each other.
