A visual and creative feast for anyone who wants to imagine and build a more beautiful life.
Stylist, designer, HGTV star and fairy godmother of glitter, Tiffany Pratt looks at the world as a blank canvas. With every choice she is presented or every decision she makes, she does it with one mantra in that this--whatever "this" is--can be beautiful. Whether it's sprucing up some old wallpaper, rejuvenating your bedsheets, turning an accidental bleach stain into a multicolored sensation, or even hosting a party and re-thinking how you make lootbags, Tiffany's creative energy is fantastically contagious. In her much anticipated debut, Tiffany brings her vivacious attitude directly to readers, crafters, designers and DIY-ers. She'll guide you through over 45 creative and straightforward projects that will beautify your home, wardrobe, beauty routine, travel style and more. Whatever your taste, crafting skill, budget, or time, you'll find a project that inspires you to make Tiffany's visions your own. Break out the glitter, paintbrushes and colored duct tape! Let Tiffany empower you to create the styled life you want using what you already have. All it takes is a little effort, some love, and a bit of hot glue.
A lot of the projects are unrealistic, too ridiculous to have in a home, but the book is bursting with (more than saccharin) enthusiasm and over-the-top fun. Can't imagine making most of the stuff, but I also couldn't stop myself from laughing at the silliness. The art studio in a box (she says for kids but it includes the stuff of most of the book's projects) is a great idea. Excessive gender-binary crap made was irritating; anyone can play with colourful stuff.
I’m so confused by this book. I loved it… the format (begin fun, middle, end), the space to imagine your own projects, the feel, and all the color…. But also, some of the projects had me thinking, “what the actual feck is this??”. Ribbons on toilet paper cardboard to wear as bracelets? Glitter on your tights? Are there jokes I’m missing? I enjoyed it’s weirdness, so it gets 3 stars, but how did this book become a thing?
This is such a fun book! Great writing style with a mix of story telling and how to makes it stand out among other DIY books. Loved the colourful pictures and the fact that although the projects are professionally done and beautiful they don't look too perfect - they actually look like something that non-decorator/artist people can do!
