I got this book for free when I visited Dr. Dave Martin's church. I listened to two of his sermons. There were some gems hidden in his book, but it was talking a bit too much about sports. I know that he's a coach and everything, but still. Also, since he's a pastor, I was expecting him to talk more about God. This whole book just feels more like motivational speeches. He did mention God and the Bible here and there but one of the responsibilities of a pastor is to preach the Gospel and lead people to Christ. I feel like Dr. Martin should've done that here.

Dave Martin uses a lot of Basketball metaphors and situations to uplift his ideas attempting to propel individuals into action. I received this text as a gift, and—from what I’m told—(from the gift giver) Dave Martin is someone to hear in person.
