This is one of those books that has a lot of potential but it didn't work for me. I feel that the author did too big of a 180 on the second half to make it believable to me. I loved the first half. It was sweet, and I love who Faith is, her strength was amazing and I had so much respect for her. I loved who the hero was and how he didn't treat her any different. This part of the book was about a blind woman trying to over come her pasts I led that it was beautiful.

But the second half..... it was

Really 3 1/2 stars and here's why.
I thought the author set up the plot well. I really felt as if the author really understood how to write a blind character due to the excellent descriptive prose. This was such a moving story. Faith was such a strong character in every aspect. Caine was a great character as well. Faith had something so horrible happen to her that caused her to lose her sight. She meets Cain and they fall in love. He has revealed that he was connected to her past. They worked out all their problems and found their HEA.

I grew up in Cambridgeshire, joining the RAF when I was 18. I then married and had my son. When I divorced, I moved back to my home town and raised my son there. Since moving back, I’ve worked mainly in retail, currently stretching my brain in an optician’s. I started writing in early 2013, as an escape from a job I hated and found that, not only did I enjoy the process, people seemed to like what ...more
