Carlie is back again in Halfway Hunted by Terry Maggert!

This witchy tale brings more action, adventure and romance to this ever expanding world. These characters continue to delight me with each page that passes. While, to me, this book isn't as fantastic as the last two, I think it has definitely put this series in a step in the right direction. To me, it felt like Avengers Age of Ultron compared to the Avengers and Civil War (for those Marvel nerd fans). It's a great novel, but it seems like t

Carlie is back with magical waffles, a great cup of coffee, more of her brilliant dialogue and another mysterious crime to solve. Oh, and she has a boyfriend to rescue, too. Talk about waking up on the wrong side of the century, Exit has been cursed to sleep deep underground and now he has awakened. He is a man lost in time, out of his element and unsure how he has slept for a century. Who better to take him under their wings than Gran and Carlie?

First thing to do is help him find news about hi

After the ending of book 2, I dived into this one as soon as I could! I needed to see what happened to Wulfric!!! Well, what a read! I don't want to spoil something so this part of the synopsis sums it up pretty good... "Can Carlie solve an ancient crime, defeat a ruthless killer and save the love of her life from a vampire's curse without burning the waffles?" That's basically what this book is about, but also so much more!! There's Exit, a man stuck in time, a quest to find the warlock and Car ...more

After the last book in this series, Halfway Bitten, ended with a huge, heartbreaking scene, this book was was an absolute must read. Carlie has grown up so much from the first glimpse of her in book one. Now, a full fledged woman, she explores the darker side to love and its high cost. Maggert is a master at making his characters relatable, quirky, fun, and strong. Sure there is magic, but it isn't all encompassing and it isn't an easy out for a sub par story line.

All of the fun food references

This was another great book in the Halfway series. I was so close to five stars on this one, but there were a few too many niggling points left unaccounted for my liking. We're constantly told Exit was frozen for a reason, but I don't think I know what it was. Also, I really think he would have looked for information on his kids, not just his wife. But Carlie more than made up for it with her usual witchy magic, and I loved the slew of side characters. Can't wait for the next one!

More goodness from Terry Maggert

I greatly enjoyed this third book. I wasn't sure about Exit at first, but he definitely grew on me as time went on. The only real "complaint" I have about this is that I thought one of the most climactic moments with the warlock was over quite quickly, in about half a page, and I wanted more witty banter and magic

We’re back with Carlie and the gang, keeping Halfway safe from paranormal activity. In the third instalment of the Halfway Witchy series, a century old curse is broken as Exit wakes up from a 100-year sleep and enlists Carlie’s help to find out exactly what happened to him and to locate his wife. In an unpleasant turn of events, Carlie, Gran and Exit wind up tracking down a pair of shape-shifter hunters who are up to no good. Meanwhile, Carlie’s boyfriend, Wulfric, has gone full vampire and it’s ...more

Note: This book can work as a stand alone though you would get more out of it if you had read the previous two books just because of the relationship between Carlie and Wulfric.

Set nearly 1 year after the ending of Book 2, Halfway Bitten, Carlie is still fretting over Wulfric’s fate after he sacrificed his humanity to defeat the Big Baddie from Book 2. But she’s also still working at the diner and playing servant to her 35 pound cat Gus. Then her librarian friend gives her a new puzzle to work o

We're back for the waffles, the magic, the nights of the full moon, the mystery, and the drive to do the right thing. Carlie is back. The cast of characters are right there with her. This time were on an ancient hunt to solve a mystery long since closed in time. But while trying to solve one incident there was another that created a deadly vibe in the air for Carlie. This time around Carlie may not have all the answers.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Terry Maggert. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

Halfway Hunted really got into how cruel and terrible some people, er, creatures? can be toward others. It starts with finding a man who awakens from a hundred year slumber curse, asking our witchy heroine to help find what happened to his family, to unearthing a terrible, um, collection of

This third book in the Halfway Witchy series is a great entertaining read. It has mystery, action, humour and trepidation. Your heart aches for Exit, awoken from a century of cursed sleep to find everyone he loved and everything he knew is gone. Carley, with the help of her Gran, sets out to help him find who destroyed his life and at the same time she secretly walks the fine line between light and darkness in order to try to save her boyfriend, Wulfric. Another amazing book by Terry Maggert.

You've met Carlie in previous books and she doesn't disappoint in Halfway Hunted. You've got your waffles, your coffee, your family and friends and you're undying need to bring your love home to you. Action packed. Adventurous. Humorous. What would you do to bring your love home? That's what Carlie needs to figure out and decide along with kicking some butt and destroying evil.

I love the writing and characters. You feel as if you're there with the characte

This is a Must read!

Carrie is more grown up and thinks before she acts. I enjoyed the new character Exit and the positive advice he gives her. This is a series that both teens and adults can both enjoy..

Here we go! Book three!

After Halfway Bitten’s cliffhangerish ending leaving the relationship of Carlie and Wulfric completely up in the air and frankly totally heartbroken, I was itching to start Halfway Hunted. I’ve become very interested in the life of Carlie McEwan, which also translates to “I really wish Carlie was a real person because we can totally hang out and she can make me all the breakfast foods she wants.” Honestly, that’s my favorite thing about the Halfway Witchy series. Each book

I chose to review this audiobook after receiving a free copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

This is the third book in the Halfway series. I read the first book, Halfway Dead, and even though I didn’t get the chance to read the second book, Halfway Hunted gave enough back story that I was able to figure out what I missed.

Carlie is a good witch. She is young, cute, and betrothed to a vampire. She’s been working on a spell for months that will hopefu

Oh my stars! Nothing halfway about this series! The Halfway Witchy series is one of a kind!

As if Carlie’s life isn’t already crazy enough there are strange happenings occuring in Halfway. And guess what? Carlie is here to protect, no matter the cost. Exit is a man who has been under an ancient curse who has recently woken up. Carlie and Gran are trying to help Exit, but Exit is not the only newcomer to Halfway. Warlocks and hunters are in the area and it’s unacceptable. We follow Carlie and how

I received a free advanced reader copy of Halfway Hunted. Halfway Hunted is the third book in a series by the author. I have really enjoyed all three books. In Halfway Hunted, Carlie deals with two problems, a personal issue, attempting to cure her boyfriend who was half human and half vampire. At the end of the last novel, Halfway Bitten he turns full vampire.
The other problem is helping a total stranger who has woken up after being magically put to sleep for about a 100 years. Even though it

This review based on and advance reader copy provided by the author.

In this third book of the series, Carlie once again has villains out to do harm in her town. Carlie's got a bigger problem, however, and that's Wulfric, her beloved--and if you haven't read Halfway Bitten, then you really ought to stop reading this review and go read it first! This novel can stand alone, but it's better if you know what's up with Wulfric. Okay, now that that's out of the way: Carlie is totally focused on saving

I love Carlie as a character and watching her grow as the series goes on is a real pleasure.

She's grown a lot since the last book, she's had her heart broken and lived the past year without the love of her life. I feel that this is a coming of age story in the making, Carlie and her Gran protect the town of Halfway from supernatural powers that seek to harm the residents.
