OUR FAVORITES FROM OUR LATEST

Below are a few of our favorite excerpts from our latest release, Double Blind. We promise, no spoilers.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Sheila walked out of the room and forced herself to aim for the back entrance, where a park-like setting lured her to gentle woods and a walking trail just outside that door. Unfortunately, knowing Preston was in the office made her steps falter. The man was like a banana split with whipped cream, nuts, and cherries on top, with three of her favorite flavors of ice cream—chocolate, coconut, and almond.
-----------------------------------------------------------
He gazed down into that ultra-feminine face with the gamine features, hazel eyes, firm chin. Why did all the women in his life have such stout hearts? His own sister had battled threats from a stalker for years. His mother continued to battle a wicked mental illness with a brave spirit that had been bruised and wounded again and again, but never broken.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"You can battle your fear, and even the spirit of evil, only with good. All good in my life comes from the Holy Spirit of God, not from my own strength or so-called magic words or ancient rituals and symbols. From God alone."
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Nobody has the right to control me."

"The One who creates has every right to control His creation. When we allow Him to guide us, we're wisely acknowledging His role in the universe."
-----------------------------------------------------------
"I was dedicated," Preston said. "My whole family was dedicated. He was the One Who turned His back on us. I finally got the message strong and clear, even though my family didn't."

"The Shepherd doesn't abandon His sheep," Blaze said. "That wouldn't have been a message from God."
-----------------------------------------------------------
"What has her faith offered her?"

"So that bit about everlasting life and heaven and all that soared right over your head in Sunday school?" Blaze asked.
----------------------------------------------------------
On Monday morning, the silent beauty of passing scenery lulled Sheila to the edge of slumber. The ochre and mauve of the peaks, and the uneven, jutting edges at the horizon, the gentle turquoise of the unbroken sky, had drawn her heart back to this place over and over again. She allowed the colors to settle into her soul as her eyes closed.

Prepare for a suspenseful story, that compels you to continue as long as possible to find out what is going to happen. You will meet some of the same people fromt he beginning of the series, plus additional characters that will dominate this story.

Nice to find a Christian based series, reflecting their struggles and growth.

A clean, stand alone, with an HEA.

A little boring. I liked the story, but the romance happened too quickly and I didn't really care for the characters. Overall, an okay read.

A fun who-done-it!

Hannah Alexander has provided a suspense novel with a wide range of characters and multiple lines of mystery. Who is the killer? who is the snitch? is the star really ill ? Who is in love and who just needs to get ahead in the business at any cost?
This book is good for the I love suspense but not nail biting thrillers readers. The characters have some depth and you will love getting to know them, even those you hate!

I hated to see this book end and hope to see a sequel in the future.

Not-so-secret admirer

If you want a good suspense, read one of this author’s books! It will keep your attention from the first minute! This one gives a powerful message about how God forgives us and helps us to forgive others. Very well done, as always!

This a quick book to read, but with a little depth as well regarding forgiveness, revenge, and truthfulnesses. Grace was a very enjoyable character, and I enjoyed seeing her grow and change. Several storylines included tension, murder, or danger, which kept it interesting.

An unusual gift arrived at the theater in Branson where Grace Brennan and Michael Gold are performing. The music box contains a sinister note. She tries to brush it off as a simple prank, but when more odd gifts show up and the director of the show winds up dead, she begins to wonder if she is going a little crazy.

So many things are happening around Grace that she begins to doubt what God's plan is for her, where He wants her to be.

This was a great read. I like the way the mystery unfolds and the characters are developed. I believe this is part of a series, but not quite sure where it fits. If it is part of a series it works great as a stand alone story.

I think I am going to check out some of the other novels by this author.

Note of Peril was a book that you could see happening in real life. Hideaway is a small town not to far from Branson and the hometown of two very confused singers, songwriter and want to be doctor. Murder, poisoning, jealousy, forgiveness, and the love of Jesus are all packed on the pages. Read, you will enjoy.
