This is her shot.

Brit has the chance to make history by being the first female goalie to play for an NHL team, the San Francisco Gold. So, when she is introduced to Stefan, the Gold's captain, she is determinedly not interested.

Stefan is sexy, charming, and has a publicly documented list of conquests a mile long. But Brit is unwilling to risk mixing business with pleasur

I think it is pretty obvious that I like sports romance books and when I read the blurb of this one I was excited because it seemed a little bit different. I mean the main plot is about a female hockey player who has the opportunity to play for a NHL-male-team. How cool is that?

But the excitement over the plot didn't last long because I couldn't connect with the writing style and the main characters (Stefan and Brit).

I felt like a spectator which had the opportunity to see the

I absolutely love a good hockey romance and Blocked was very thing I love in a good book and more.

What's great about this book is its about a Female hockey player - who's been called up to the big leagues.

Brit has always dreamed of playing for the NHL - but it's not without its sacrifices and it's nightmares. It's hard to fit into the boys club, especially when you're looking over your shoulder all the time. But now that she has her chance to shine, she's going to try with all her might to fit

Powerful and Intense to say the least. Dam! Dam! Dam! Aww Puck it..

By the 3rd chapter you will be rooting for Brit and hating Mike Stewart. By chapter 6 you are rooting for Brit and Stefan to get it on, but Chapter 11...I was bawling like a baby, that chapter hit too close to home for me. had to regroup after that one. By chapter 17 I wanted to attack and punch Sergei and Chapter 18 I wanted to bitchslap Susan and management. I could go on and on and on but...hehe..that would spoil the whole int

I loved this book! It had hockey, romance, and the characters were some of my favorites! They say "write what you know" and Faber knows hockey, and apparently romance as well! Her passion for the sport really came through every page. I never played hockey, but I LOVE to watch it! I mean I am from Detroit, aka HOCKEYTOWN!

Hockey is fast paced and the players are so in tune with one another, most days anyway lol, it's very exciting to watch! The brisk chill from the ice, and passionate

Ladies and Gents….I present to you a Hockey Romance done right!

I truly enjoyed Blocked. It was romantic but not overly in your face. It was sweet but not so much as to turn you off. There was action on and off the ice. Elise Faber did a fantastic job of making Blocked the perfect meld.

And again…HOCKEY

There’s nothing better than sexy hockey players in the morning to get your day started!

I love sports romance books & Blocked was a great addition to that genre! I absolutely adored the premise, a female goalie getting a shot at her dream of playing in the NHL. I am a huge hockey (& sports) fan, so I loved the seamless sports aspects that were ingeniously weaved into the romance & suspense aspects of the story.

I really adored the characters in this story; we are introduced to Brit Plantain, a female goalie who has been working her way through the ranks of minor league t

I have one of my #bookbesties to thank for introducing me to this author. I freely admit I know next to nothing about ice hockey but this book was flamazing!! I was completely engrossed in this story and characters from start to finish.

Brit Plantain has finally made it! All her hard work and perseverance over the years has earned her a history-breaking goalie position in an NHL team, the San Francisco Gold. Brit puts all of her focus and drive into making a starting position; she doesn’t need an

Who doesn't love a good hockey romance? I know that I sure do! And adding in a female NHL hockey goalie? Well that made this amazing story all the much better for me! Blocked by Elise Faber is the first book in the Gold Hockey Series and I cannot wait for more! The story of Stefan and Brit is filled with lust, wanting, and secrets that threaten relationships. This book was a 3.5 star read for me and I highly recommend this series to others.

Elise Faber has once again used her magical words and her downright fun imagination to pull us into her world of amazing characters.

In Blocked we are introduced to Brit and Stefan. Brit is a female hockey player who has gotten one step closer to achieving her dream of being in the NHL. Stefan is the captain of the Gold and is a lot more than just a handsome face.

Their worlds collide with scandal, attraction, tears, and lies along the way. Teammates they are but their bodies and minds want a hel

I Got Pucked. And I liked it.

I have only read a fee hockey books, but I was excited to start this one.

One of my favorite aspects of this book is that they aren't college age. They are a little older. It is different from my norm and I enjoyed it.

Brit's intensity is worthy of praise. It isn't easy being a woman "in a man's world" and she honestly just takes it by storm.

Stefan. Oh the kind but guarded type. My favorite. He has an amazing heart. He is very dedicated to his team. He may just be th

Oh puck it all...This is my first sporty book I have ever read and what a way to start. Bravo Elise Faber for a riveting story that had me laughing out loud and crying for Stefan and his mother as well as Brit and her past experiences. There are even a few characters I wanted to strangle. This story was very entertaining and kept me intrigued. I had no knowledge about hockey, and I have come away with a small understanding of the game and the grueling work players must go through to be prepared. ...more

This book was a pleasant surprise. Despite not having anything to do with sports IRL I read quite a bit of hockey and football romance - go figure.
This was a great bland of serious issues, romance and suspense. I was so into it that I read the short story right after!

As someone who plays and loves hockey, I can say that this book made me want to step out on the ice with Brit. You know I'd never get anything past her because she's just that good but it would be epic to be able to be out on the ice with Brit.

And I know I'm writing about her as if she's a real person but that's just a testament to how well Elise presents the characters in her book to the readers. The characters were completely relatable in their awesomely awkward and hilarious banter. The movi

Blocked is the story of Brit. She is an amazing goalie who just got the chance of a lifetime... To play in the NHL for the San Francisco Gold. She has busted her ass her entire career to have a chance to play with the big boys. And well they are hockey players, so they are all big. :) (get your mind out of the gutter!) When management tries to force Brit and her hunky captain Stefan together for a publicity stunt things get a little complicated. Even more so when she actually starts to have act

Elise Faber has struck again! I read this book in one sitting! And then I immediately read it over again. If that's not a testament to how astonishing Blocked is, then I don't know what is. Not only is this one awesome sports book but its got the sultry romance, deceptive scandal, and one amazing plot turn after the other.

What I loved most about Brit was that she defied the odds. She entered a mans world, balls, or in this case, pucks, to the wall! She doesn't show her fear to her teammates and

***I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are 100% my own. ***

We meet Brit as she’s entering her first day with the San Francisco’s NHL team, Golds. She is nervous being the first female player to make it to the NHL. She’s hoping to make a good impression on them and make her dreams come true. This is when she meets team captain, Stefan. He’s a hard worker and really level-headed on the ice. He might not be the best player in the league, but he’s a good cap

Elise Faber SCORED INFINITE GOALS with this amazing book. Wow I loved it. It had me laughing quite a bit, mad a few times, content, and on edge a bit. What a wonderful story and such fun characters, especially Brit. I found myself happy dancing and clapping at many parts in this book.

Kudos to Elisa Saber on making a strong female character that still has a hint of vulnerability.

Brit is a female playing in a male dominated sport. Who here has seen a female hockey player in the NHL? She fights and wins her position as the backup goalie for the San Francisco Gold. And to prove she is one of the guys she even changes and showers in the main locker room, for a sense of team.

They test her, her first time on the ice, and she proves that she can hold her own. Stefan is the team capt

Looking for a hot and steamy hockey story. Looking for a tough female character, you get no tougher than British. The first female NHL major league goalie. She has her issues but she fights for what is hers and works her butt off for the chance.
Stefan, the captain of the Gold, doesn't know what to make of his feelings for the new goalie.
I just loved the banter that Britain has going with Blane and her brother Dan. Brit can let loose with the rest of them.

This was my first hockey book I am honestly not a hockey fan. This book may have just changed that! I seriously could not put it down. I was hooked from the very first chapter.
Brit is a total bad#ss! I love her. She plays for the NHL and holds her own in a total man's sport, a tough sport. She puts the boys in their place, letting them know she is there to play!

Brit has finally made it, she’s worked her whole life at being the first female in the NHL and now she there playing for the San Francisco Gold. Enter in smoking hot Captain of the Gold Stefan. When Brit’s career is threatened, Brit must do what management asks and play nice for the cameras and fake an attraction and relationship with the charming captain but with one catch, he cannot know. Playing the role is a lot harder for Brit as she really is attracted to Stefan and is truly forming a bond ...more

Elise Faber creates characters in which you become invested from the very first sentence.
"Blocked" is a great example of this. It features a strong female main character - a goalie on a professional hockey team no less! Her interactions and wickedly smart conversations with fellow players - including a very hot team captain - make you want to keep reading and reading.
We find out what has made each person into the person we meet. We become involved to the point we cheer as the characters evolve.

I wasn't sure how I was going to deal with a book from Elise Faber that didn't have a Rengalla, a LexTal or a single Dalshie. Turns out, I handled it just fine. By Chapter 3 I was hooked. I received this copy for an exchange for an honest review.

The book itself is good, the plot of the book though, it was typical, but still good enough to read. What I did like about this book is the his and her POVs, but then again I like reading books with different POVs. There are ups and downs in this book, some funny moments, some I just want to reach in the book and smack some sense into a few people.

Would I recommend this book to anyone, if you love reading about hockey, then yes. I've nev

Oh do I love me a good Hockey story! The BEST part? Brit, the female in this novel plays too! She's strong, independent and willing to survive naked in a locker room with a team full of men. This story was terrific and I can't wait to learn more about other players on the team. Terrific start to a great series!

Great book!!! I love Elise's characters and I love hockey so I really like this book! I couldn't put it down. Love the romance between Brit & Stefan and I love that Brit is a strong female as the lead. First female in the NHL and as a goalie?! I hope they read this and we get some women in there! I love that it felt like real life. All of it was believable and I just wanted to be Brit in the story! I can't wait for more books in the series with more of the characters I fell in love with!

Omg!! I have never thought to read a book with hockey in it because I'd thought I wouldn't be able to follow, but boy I'm glad I was wrong!! This book is Amazing, brilliant and just Wow!! I felt some girl power moments and was like yeah Brit show'em what you can do! But I also love that just because Brit is a girl who plays hockey doesn't mean she can't be soft and feminine. I don't like giving spoilers but I will say there are twists and surprises in store so go grab this book now!!!
