I wasn’t sure how Wind in the Willows could be condensed into a picture book, but the story and characters were surprisingly well-captured - every word counts! The illustrations are great, and my kids LOVE this book... definitely requested several times a day, and Beatrice can recite it nearly word for word.
The teacher read this book to the class on placement It gave the children an opportunity to learn about the different animals deeply and them as characters in the book.
Simple yet effective. Good story and clever to get a message across about being sensible, not taking things for granted and just for looking out for friends. Quick read and easy picture book to follow, great for early reading. The typography goes very well with the language, highlighting key words.
