This was also a good book containing many Zimbabwean voices as they talked about different, mystifying stories of war and many other short stories including no more plastic balls itself which was one of my best short stories in the book. A short story about a young boy who stays in the confines of his rich parents' yard all day long watching and longing how he could be playing with the little boys in the street which was the last thing his mom ever wanted for him to do. He now gets some plastic balls from a housegirl next door and trashes his expensive toys for that. At the end the girl is forbidden from giving him the balls. The whole story mashes up as he one day escapes after his little friends had tempted him to come out and play as the housegirl chasing after him to come back. A car screeches from around the corner as he is running excitedly for the first time in the streets...screech ....screech..the bang..and silent ...the housegirl stood with her mouth open in shock ........it was actually his mother coming back home from work...........
