He is classified as a Middle Platonist. Plutarch's surviving works were written in Greek, but intended for both Greek and Roman readers.

Interessanti introduzioni che preparano a cogliere i punti focali delle biografie del biografo greco. Utile la dissertazione se Plutarco possa o meno considerarsi una valida fonte storica.
