The moment Aithne’s mother told her that her sister had been captured by the infamous Vampire, King Lazzaro—she should have known it was a trap.

In order to get her sister back, she is given one simple, but dangerous task. She has to capture a dragon-shifter and bring him back to the King. It should be easy, a simple exchange—her

This was a solid story. We get a girl, Aithne, who wants to save her sister from a vampire king who has captured her. In order to do this she must capture a male dragon shifter. Dragon shifter is mated to a witch. In order to get close to this man she makes friends with her target's mate's witchy sisters. These witchy sisters are special because not more than one female is ever born to a family, all other children are male. Well, long story short. There is another dragon shifter, Viktor, who hou ...more

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. Aithne has learned her sister has been kidnapped and the only way she can get her back is to trade a dragon shifter. Will she sacrifice a shifter to save her sister? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and Viktor and Aithne have great chemistry and the story really transports you to another place. A good read.

I received a free copy of The King’s Fire by the author in exchange for an honest review. Since I enjoyed the first installment of The Dragon Ruby Series, I really wanted to continue reading the second installment. This story begins with a redheaded assassin by the name of Athine. Her mission is to break into the Vampire King’s layer in search of her kidnapped sister. Athine knows that this may be a long shot, but she has nowhere else to look. As she goes one-on-one with a handful of guards, onl ...more

The King's Fire is book Two in Leilani Love's wonderful series, The Dragon Ruby Series. I found Violca's Dragon quite compelling and was thrilled that The King's Fire is already available!

Life is hard enough when you are King of the Dragons. You are pretty much responsible for not just your dragons but most of the supernatural world. And it doesn't get any better when the younger brother you loved is suddenly your arch enemy.. AND Now there's this woman. She'

I will admit that when I began reading "The King's Fire" I thought this story would give us more insight into Viktor's character but continue on with the story of ano Grey sister. In many ways it did provide the insight I was expecting about Viktor but never imagined that it was totally centered around his future potential relationship.

Aithne has had centuries to come to grips with her the tragedy that scarred her childhood. Although she is in many ways human she is also not. While she followed

OUTSTANDING fiction! Romance, complexity and full of compelling characters and a MUST-READ plot!
I have fallen hopelessly in love with the with Leilani Love’s DRAGON RUBY series! First, I fell in love with the characters of VIOLCA’S DRAGON and then fell deeply, hopelessly in love with them again in “THE KING’S FIRE,” the second novel in this series. Love’s descriptive and enticing prose continues to tell the intriguing story of the Grey sisters, orphaned but not alone, as they continue to underst

Ainthe is always getting her sisters out of trouble. She usually has no issues rescuing them, but this time she herself has been caught by a vampire leader. He offers her a deal: if she kidnaps and brings him a particular dragon shifter, then he will release her sister--but not until then. Will Ainthe kidnap this man? Will her sister be released? What will she think of the world of dragon shifters?

This book had some of the common issues with grammar, punctuation, and usage, but this was not over

I am loving this series! Immortals, dragons, panthers, vampires, kidnapping, deception, so much action and suspense I couldn't put it down. This is the second book in the Dragon Ruby series and it picks up not too long after book 1. Violca and her sisters are now living at the mansion with Chase and Viktor, the Dragon King. Aithne is immortal, having been touched by a goddess. To save her sister, she must kidnap a dragon.

I was captivated and on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book. I w

>I am an independent reviewer. This is the 2nd book in the Ruby series and ends in an HEA. Ainthe is an assassin forced to work for the vampire king to kidnap Chase. Chase is the dragon shifter from book 1. In order to get close to Chase, Ainthe befriends the witch sisters and infiltrates their new home with the dragon King, Viktor.

>Ainthe really likes the girls and feels a weird pull towards Viktor. Viktor realizes that Ainthe is his mate, but knows she is hiding

This is book two in the "The Dragon Ruby" series. I have read book one 'Violca's Dragon' but I do think this book is a standalone book...but I love the series so far so I would read book one for the love of the series.
Aithne’s has been alerted by her mother that her old sister has been kidnapped. Aithne is not as close to her older sister as some families are but never the less she goes forward to save them again. Vampire, King Lazzaro is the one that has her sister and when she tries to take h
This second book in The Dragon Ruby Series by Leilani Love was a very intense and entertaining paranormal romance combined with plenty of action in and out of the bedrooms. The sexual tension that raged before the mating sex took over was off the chart, but my oh my did the author describe the actual sexual encounters in vivid and graphic and erotic detail for the reader to savor as they let their imagination run wild. This story was also about the importance of family and doing everything possi ...more

I love dragons possessive beasts they are and Chase's Dragon is no different especially with his mate Violca, "...she put the book on her dresser and crawled back into bed with Chase. His low growl let her know his dragon missed her, as he pulled her close and nuzzled her hair. Chase’s lips brushed against the back of her neck, reacting to her even in his sleep." I really enjoyed this creative paranormal story! Great realistic world building and character development with engaging chemistry nicely woven through the characters that is endearing and heartfelt. The plot is cleaver, the storyline is fast paced, witty, and drenched in smoking hot dragon and black panther shifters, witches, and immortals who interlock in an undeniably steamy romance with their life mates. What we all do for our family. Family is important no matter what one does we always have each other's back. Leilani has embraced it in a nutshell! If you believe in family ties this book is for you not only that there are dragons, vampires along with other shifters hoping to find their mates.

Aithne once again was stuck rescuing her sister, Ally, who had been captured by the Vampire King Lazzaro. Her sisters were always chasing after handsome and wealthy men, always getting themselves into trouble, leaving her to clean up after her sisters’ messes. Watching the two guards, she saw a tall man approach and give them orders. Although the guards had been human, this man was something more, supernatural. When he and one guard walked away, she waited for her opportunity to sneak up on the ...more
