Crowned for the Prince's Heir by Sharon Kendrick was an enjoyable read.
It was your classic second chance romance and passed an enjoyable couple of hours for me.
Dress designer Lisa Bailey protecting her broken heart ends her liaison with Prince Luciano Leonidas of Mordovia.
A couple years later Luc hankering after the one that got away and on the brink of a politically advantageous marriage with a neighbouring princess has a brief run-in with Lisa which ends

Wow this heroine was cynical cold and crude. I cant believe she took hero's child away from him after he opened his heart and told her how much he loved her! Can u say heartless? Her grovel at the end was lame she didn't deserve this wonderful man!

I'm not a big fan of marrying into royalty stories. So this may account for my low rating.

The backstory: The hero had a brief affair with the designer heroine two years before. She broke it off because she could see it was going nowhere. Now the hero is back after two years of celibacy to sow some wild oats before his arranged marriage.

The "courtship": Heroine tries to tell the hero she's pregnant, but no one will let her call through at the palace. She decides to be single mom and design and m

2.5 stars rounded down.

It didn’t deserve the round up, but because he’s a Sharon Kendrick hero who was celibate I wanted to round up.

However he was also a cheater. He was engaged to a virgin and had a long string of lovers while the virgin waited for him on the wings keeping her virginity intact.

That counts as cheating, as his engagement WAS acknowledged.

The fact he cheated on OW with heroine doesn’t make it redeemable.

Also I never understood the necklace scene which was swept under the rug aft

I really didn't think I was going to like this Harlequin Presents book. I had just finished another Harlequin Presents and had been very disappointed with it. I hadn't read a HP book in forever since I've been reading more smuttier/edgier/more erotic romance books and just thought maybe I had outgrown these books that I had loved years ago. But I was surprised. I really enjoyed Sharon Kendrick's writing and it pulle

A Harlequin reader really cannot go wrong with a Sharon Kendrick book. I received an early release copy via NetGalley in exchange for a review. Lisa is a clothing designer that has seen moderate success, but, things are slowing down when Luc, someone from her past walks into her shop. Luc is heading home to fulfill his duty as the governing prince of his nation and head into an arranged marriage, one Lisa was not aware of when they were previously involved. Luc decides to have one last night wit ...more

Really loved this story!! Spoilers below maybe?

I liked how Lisa was able to stay strong and not let lust rule her and I liked Luc especially when he interacted with the baby Rose. At first I thought he was a schmuck but he redeemed himself and I was glad that he had been celibate since they broke up. Well there was that little annoying part of the story where we learned he was basically engaged when they got back together but it didn't bother me like normal. I loved the story and I loved the HE

The h really did it for me!!
I have never read about an h who was so distrustful of the H's sincerity or integrity!
It's like she never came out of her rudimentary stage.
H was incredible, I can't imagine how he could put up with such a nasty attitude after being prince, or how he could even fall for her!
Was the h a virgin?....I don't think so, because there was not a single mention of her innocence.

Decent hero, decent heroine, okay story. Nothing special or remarkable or memorable about it. Just okay. Don't buy it, get it from the library if you decide you must read it.

This was a less than fair read. The story dragged a bit for me but I did like both characters -- although I failed to fall in love with them. I disliked the hero throughout most of the book but he did somewhat redeem himself in the end. For me, the heroine was a bit of a cold fish and just had an air about her that I was not crazy about. All in all, it had the proverbial happy ending and it was quite sweet.

What can I say about this read. It was interesting how Prince Luciano was able to have one last fling with a woman that moved him. Lisa and Prince Luciano had a short fling but both knew that they couldn’t have anything else. But there was something that happened afterwards that didn’t seem fair to me. How fair was it for Lisa for him to tell her that he was about to be married to someone else that he had been promised to since birth. In my opinion it was cruel but then something changed the day ...more

I received the ebook in exchange for an honest review. Lisa & Luc had a fling 2 yrs prior but because Luc told her from the beginning that there would be no future for them, Lisa breaks things off and they meet up again when he has to attend a friend's wedding. What I didn't enjoy about this book is how the hero who is engaged & celibate for 2 yrs in order to be faithful to his bride, ends up sleeping with the heroine without telling her he is engaged & getting married - at least unt ...more

I've a friend of mine who reads Mills & Boon like they are going out of fashion and I admit I tease her over this, let's face it they are really easy to take the mic of. Last week she finally had enough and said their was no difference between the chick lit that I read and her books and if I hadn't ever read one I couldn't comment.

Challenge accepted.

I'll admit I had a lot of prejudices when I stared to read this and yes it was full of the simpering heroine and the ridiculously attractive y

I never buy a book that has less then 3 stars unless it is a new release from a series I love. This was both a brand new author and a brand new book, I got pulled in by the blurb from the back of the book which is why it's there. I have given this book 3 stars as I can't give it 2.5, how two people who have no trust in each other could fall in love I don't know I found this to be a hard read but as it was a new author I was determined to give it a go but unfortunately I found it to be disappoint ...more

Lisa and Luc have had an ongoing affair that she breaks off. Knowing that she is not royal enough for him. But when they reconnect just one more time it ends with consequences that leave him scrambling to secure his heir. But will she go along with the marriage? Will they be able to have a happy ever after? Sharon Kendrick writing style has always caught my eye. This was another one that will go into my reread pile of books.

I received the ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Me, myself I love reading Young Adult book. As I am a little bit older I sometimes need something totally different. Then I love taking up a quick and lovey dovey story. This story was fun, quick-paced and lovely. It is the perfect inbetween between heavier books.
Erica Barnes
This story is a familiar one but the personalities at work were interesting. The author gave the characters a believable and well presented backstory that thoroughly explained why they made the choices they did; which is number one in my book. I hate it when an author makes their characters do stupid things for no reason.

I would read another of Sharon Kendrick

Luc is quite the cocky man, ‘I am the Prince and you are my wife and we can do whatever we damned well like,’ he said arrogantly. ‘What would you like to eat?’ I liked this book, I grew to like Luc in time.

I was told off as a child for making up stories—little did I know that one day I’d earn my living by writing them!

To the horror of my parents, I left school at sixteen and held a bewildering variety of jobs: I was a London DJ (in the now-trendy Primrose Hill), a decorator and a singer. After that I became a cook, a photographer and, eventually, a nurse. I waitressed in the south of France, drove a
