Great easy guide to starting composting. I’m already addicted!! Can’t wait for my compost heap to grow and never buy soil or compost for my garden again 😃
A small book made for a quick read on the basics of composting.
It mentioned a lot of resources (links, websites, organizations) for learning more about specific methods or topics. Also, gave a nice, brief intro to various composting methods. Had a lot of cute drawings too. Best to supplement with a more thorough and in-depth composting book.
Not much useful info here - other books explain it better and the same info is better summarized in other resources (i.e. books on gardening, homesteading, etc.). I only read it because I could get it through the library - I only finished it because it was so short. The one sort of good thing is that if you just want to buy a composter, this seems to have more info on that than other sources.
This wee book is a quick read if you're looking for some light information on composting. Other books (as others have pointed out) on this topic have more information. This is probably a good choice if you just want an overview.
This is a good overview for starting composting. I really liked that they described the different kinds of compost tools you can use, how they work, and what they do best. It was a short, easy read with some helpful info!
A tiny little book that gives a good, basic overview of composting. Gives examples of how compost happens, what makes up greens(nitrogen) and browns(carbon) and different types of composting systems.
Extremely short, easy and informative reading. The author is obviously very enthusiastic about her subject and contains interesting examples of community projects which help reduce waste in cities.
This tiny, easy to read/understand guide gave me all the basics for getting started on composting. The information was organized well and presented in an efficient manner.
