I love a good, clean romance with some depth and that's exactly what I got with A Family Like Hannah's. I'm a fair weathered fan of sports, meaning that aside from some basketball and what my kids are playing at the moment, most of my sports watching comes during the Olympics. I couldn't help but be swept away by the excitement of skiing and snowboarding, as a good part of the story revolves around Tate and Hannah working together to make Snowy Sky Resort a success.

Tate is a character with deter

Hannah James no longer skis competitively, but her competitive spirit hasn't been killed. Instead, it's now the driving force into making the Snowy Sky Resort into a world-class destination for fun and frolicking in Alaska. Unfortunately, the former snowboard champion, now a consultant, Tate Addison is intent on adding snowboard elements to the resort. His ideas represent too much money and risk for Hannah, but the reason that isn't clear until later wins her heart: his nephew, Lucas.

Another great book by Carol Ross. I found it hard to put down. I found myself having mixed emotions. Sometimes I laughed sometimes I got teary eyed and sometimes I found myself relating to the circumstances in the book.

Hannah was a professional skier who was in a terrible car accident and had to give up her dream as a skier. Tate was a professional snow boarder who had to give up his dreams to raise his nephew Lucas.

Hannah puts everything she can into Snowy Sky resort. They both want to make t

Sweet romance set in Alaska!

A Family Like Hannah's, written by Carol Ross, is a clean and refreshing story!

Her characters, Hannah, Tate and Lucas are charming.

It tells the story of Hannah James, an ex-professional skier, who had a terrible accident which forced her to make other plans for her future. Now, she invests her heart and energy to transform the Snowy Sky Resort. But someone, decides to offer his views on how to make changes. Famous pro-snowboarder, now turned consultant, Tate Addiso

The characters in this book are vibrant and easy to visualize. Hannah is a mix of tough and independent with fun and vulnerable. Tate is confident on the outside but anxious with his new role in life as guardian to his nephew, so the misconceptions and miscommunications between he and Hannah are taken personally by both. I loved the setting of winter in Alaska, especially at a ski resort since I've only been snowboarding twice. We see glimpses into the boardroom where decisions are being made an ...more

I loved A Family Like Hannah's. Carol Ross has done it again with the fourth installment of her Season's of Alaska series. At times heart wrenching, but mostly heartwarming, A Family Like Hannah's is yet another example of her skill at creating solid, evocative stories. Carol Ross's books exude a warmth and tenderness that immediately captures your attention and holds it as the story unfolds. Indicative of this is the natural, convincing way her characters find love. Hannah James, the principal ...more

Oh goodness, the characters in A Family Like Hannah’s – particularly Lucas – will tug at your heart!! Tate will have you swooning, especially when he gets all snazzied up. (See, Amber Perry? I did find a way to use that word! haha) And Hannah will have you checking your contact list for her name because you’re certain you’ve been friends for years.

Both Tate and Hannah have had hurdles to overcome in life, the kind of things that require counseling and a good support network to truly get past. Wh

A Family Like Hannah's is a sweet, feel-good romance. Hannah and Tate do not get off to a good start--Tate begins as he continues for much of the story, by jumping to conclusions (Hannah, on the other hand, just jumps, LOL)--and for a while they are on opposite sides of things. Tate's adorable nephew Lucas manages to bring them together, though, and soon they're both feeling an attraction that they're a bit hesitant to act on, because each has their own past issues standing in their way.

I think this one is my favorite romance that I read this year! I absolutely fell in love with Lucas. All the characters were really well written but Lucas, I just really adored him. The story line in this book really had me on an emotional roller coaster. More than once I was telling my RL guy what was going on. He kept asking me, who? Haha. Eventually he did figure out I was ranting, crying or laughing about the characters in this book. He took a look at it after I was done so I know I can expe ...more

I'm happy to be a part of the tour for A Family Like Hannah's. I love the Harlequin Heartwarming line- it's perfect for girls like me who love their romances sweet and clean.

Tate and Hannah are both fantastic characters. They both had depth and development which is something so necessary for me as a reader. I felt like I was getting to know them through each page- not only knowing them but liking them too.

Tate is determined to give his nephew a good life and a legacy. He has goals and ideas for

I can't decide which of the Seasons of Alaska books is my favorite. I love spending time in Rankin, with the James family and their friends and neighbors. In this story, Tate, a successful snowboarder with with a tragic childhood, is determined to give his nephew the upbringing he deserves. He meets Hannah, who has a terrific family but has had her own share of tragedy. When they butt heads over a vision for a snow sports resort in Rankin, sparks fly, and yet they can't help being drawn to one a ...more

USA Today and national bestselling author Carol Ross grew up in small-town America right between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains, in a place where you can go deep sea fishing in the morning and then hit the ski slopes the same afternoon. The daughter of free-range parents, she developed a love of adventure and the outdoors at a very early age. She’s grateful for the “research material” ...more
