This book was fantastic, mostly because it was exactly what I needed when I needed it.
I'm hoping to write a thesis about Civil War reenactors and this book provided an excellent introduction to the hobby-- lots of terms, equipment lists, etc. I suspect that anyone involved in the hobby might find it a bit simplistic, but for me it was wonderful.
The bibliography is extensive, as are the appendices, glossary, and index.
