A spirit from the past. A love for the future. Bonnie Summers is an outsider in Tarker’s Hollow, a small college town that’s home to a secret enclave of shifters just like her. Despite a warm welcome from the pack, and an abundance of handsome suitors, Bonnie still feels alone. Until a spirit from the town’s mysterious past decides to pay her a visit, stoking the flames of her desire, and begging for her help. Now, her primal passions ignited, Bonnie needs to unravel a dark secret in time to save the man who holds the key to her salvation.
Ghost of Shifters Past is a steamy standalone novella set in the world of Tarker’s Hollow, home to the bestselling Curse of the Alpha series.
Ghost of Shifters Past was originally published as part of Shifter Wonderland (no longer available).
Bonnie is very lonely. She recently moved from her small town to Tarker's Hollow to take a job at the college library. While walking to work she sees something off in the woods and goes to investigate. She later learns of the mysterious disappearance of a group of Native Americans that had stayed behind after the rest had been forcibly moved. This was quick and I thought nothing was really explained. What was the mysterious darkness? Bonnie's new found friends were a huge help.....and very accepting, asking no questions. Okay, moving on. Bonnie is now no longer alone for the holidays, having found her mate. (After having dream sex and exchanging a few words).
I originally read 'Ghost of Shifters Past' in the 'Shifter Wonderland' boxset, but just finished re- reading it.
I FLOVE Tasha's "Curse of the Alpha" & "Fate of the Alpha" series & to learn that 'Ghost of Shifters Past' is set at Tarker's Hollow.... made me do the happy dance. I was instantly sucked back into the lives of the citizens of Tarkers Hollow & I LOVED it!! Focusing once again on the shifters in the community, we get to see how the wolves from Copper Creek are handling the move.
A night time walk home, Bonnie catches glimpses of shadows, her wolf isn't picking up a scent, after a steamy dream & an encounter with a fox spirit. I will have to leave it there. How I miss Tarker's Hollow, I was LOST in this, the story was rivetting. My only wish, well I actually have a couple.. 1. the story was longer & 2. more about Bonnie & the wolves that moved to Tarker's Hollow.
This is a prime case of "the rest of the story". Bonnie, a wolf shifter from Copper Creek and now a transplant to Tarker's Hollow, was mentioned in earlier books. Here is her story, a story where she encounters legends and shadows. A story of honor and determination. Bravo!!!! Now I want to reread those books where I encountered Bonnie and her mate.
I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this. It is straight forward, focusing 100% on the plot . I'd rather read a short story then have to shuffle through fillers to get to the knitty gritty of the story. :) Bonnie is bold and compassionate, the mystery is intriguing and her mate is totally dedicated, to her....yeah good stuff!!
I have not read all of the Tarkers Hollow series so not sure how this fits but it was a lovely tale with a Native American themed history story plot. Very intriguing and well written enjoyable story. Read in SHIFTER WONDERLAND box set.
She felt like a stranger in this new town. She saw a ghost of a fox shifter in her dreams and knew she had to help him find peace. Sweet romance. Loved it
I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review

I love Tarker's Hollow for those who don't know it and once more we are in this fantastic world with an amazing story. I loved the mysticistic / pagan vibe that this story had and iloved the fact that we have the female character fighting for her mate.
Also i loved that we got to see some characters from previous books.
Fast paced ,with an unrealistic vibe that made you wanna read more and more till you reached the end the book hooks you in for good!
ANother great story by Tasha who never fails us. Each story of Tarker's Hollow is better and better.
Ghost of Shifters Past is sweet novella written by Tasha Black. Connie Summers is now a resident of Tarker’s Hollow and is still trying to adjust life in a city where human and shifters coexist. Bonnie feels alone even though the Tarker’s Hollow pack accepted and welcomed her into their fold. One day a spirit from the town’s magical past, presents its self to her. Bonnie is now determined to solve the mystery of this supernatural being, which has awakened a passion within her. Will Bonnie finally find the love she so desperately hopes for? Read Ghost of Shifters Past to find out!
Once again Tasha Black has created a world of magic and wonder for her readers. Bonnie is smart, charming, and a romantic. The author’s description of Tarker’s Hollow grabs the reader’s attention and takes them to a place of marvel and enchantment. I recommend not just Ghost of Shifters Past, but any book written by Tasha Black.
Another short story involving some Tarker Hollow citizens. Bonnie, newly moved from a smaller town as the lone librarian to handling one section of the huge campus library. That isn't her only adjustment. The shifters here live in and among humans. Her wolf feels caged. She knows few people and wonders if there are any men who might be available.
This story has some wonderful Native American tales, magic, and history. I am fascinated with it all and was glued to this story. Could Bonnie possibly be communicating with a lost band? Her dreams told her it was more. The vision....well, you have to read more to find out where this leads. I promise you will be glad you did. Another winner and recommend from me.
Another awesome PNR romantic suspense must read, set in one of my favorite towns in Tarker's Hollow, PA! Always a unique & interesting storylines with wonderful characters by this author! I highly recommend this & all her books to fiction readers, especially those who love 'paranormal romance with a bite' ;) I was given this to read in exchange for an honest review.
Another one I couldn't put down. I loved the different stories! I don't have the time to go into all three of them. But I loved the what's going to happen next? That is probably why I kept turning pages! If this is your kind of thing, read it! I think the clockwork dragon was my favorite.
