Perhaps I judge these little picture book sequels to the Julie books in an overly harsh manner. The series has won so many awards and faced such opposition from book banners, that I do go into reading these books with high expectations. And, since these are just average picture books, I am all the more disappointed. This was a fun adventure for kids! Amaroq is a wonderful character and you can't help loving Nutik. In Nutik and Amaroq Play Ball, Amaroq and his little wolf friend are bored and he must try to figure out what Nutik wants to do. This book is full of fun outdoor pictures and gives us more fun Arctic adventure. I recommend this book for people of all ages who loved reading Julie of the Wolves.
