Where to start? I generally love books about dogs and that is why I read this one - even though I was not particularly pleased with the prior book in this series. The protagonist (Sam) is the biggest klutz I have ever encountered. That is supposed to make her - I think - endearing. NOT. It just makes her annoying. So this book starts off with one of her klutzy moves and I was so irritated that I almost did not continue reading. Enough! Next, the protagonist also is completely clueless and totall ...more

Good but really?

Ok love this storyline especially the 1st book but this one got a little silly. But as I was shaking my head, I was enjoying the ride!!

I like this book and hope this series will have more in it. I think this series would appeal to quite a few people.

A great follow up to the first book which answers some of the questions that you were left with at the end of book 1. I loved that some of my thoughts or ideas, while I was reading, turned out to be correct. But the story still kept me second guessing until the end, which makes a story very intriguing. There are definitely messages in this story like the devotion of a dog to its people. Bump is the perfect example of what happens when a dog is given a second chance in a new home. I’ll let you fi ...more

This is a gotta read

Assassin's first book in this group was good, but this one is far better. Her characters fill out, the background becomes more real, and many of the loose ends get woven into place. Better yet, new loose ends are created! That means more Bump and the rest of the gang!
