Recommends it for: Anyone
The novel describes just one and a half day in some ancient time without any modern elements. The text on the back of the book quite summarizes the story:

Just a tale about a young rook
that is found by a boy,
who encounters a girl and a dog,
as well as the son of a sultan and his mother,
the eldest son of a fallen tribal chief, and even a king
A story about giants and about a mysterious, shiny black marble

The foreword of the book tells a bit about how the novel came to be.

This is a strange book, very descriptive without dialogue. It's an adventure with a kidnapping and a rescue. The rook Kra doesn't play such an impotant part as I wished and the ending was too sad for me.

I got this book in Goodreads giveaway in an exchange for an honost review.

Let me begin my review with a little praise for the author. For being passionate and writing a book in English- which is not his native tongue-. Even though I am being generous with my rating, it is for the sake of the author and to tell him to never give up on writing.
Kra is a book about a boy who goes on an adventure with a blue-eyed rook after discovering a mysterious marble. The story had a great potential. However, w

I got this book as a Goodreads Giveaway. The story is about teenage boy Kanoa, who receives a black marble from a rook.

I enjoyed reading the book. The landscape is well-described. The story is interesting and dynamic. There are lots of events in a very short time frame. I like the end of the story, it leaves you with a lot of questions, and it makes clear you just read about a little piece of the lifes of the characters. It gives the reader the opportunity to use their imagination to think of wh

Received from a Goodreads Giveaway

This book was an interesting concept with almost no spoken language in it. There is a page in front that says there is no dialogue in it, but the characters do speak their names, so there is a tiny bit. I have never read a book that basically has no dialogue in it. The end was a bit of a surprise. I'm not sure that the no-dialogue way of writing is my thing however. I found myself skimming through the book rather than actually reading word for word. Still, it's

It starts off about a young rook who finds a black marble and a boy who feeds him his Apple. Then there's a dog son of a sultan his mother even a king. There is Giants Amd a mysterious man in a cloak. Story is ok not much conversation think there should have been but description of surroundings and scenery very good.

Aguidon lived in the southern part of the Netherlands during his early childhood. His family moved and he spent his youth in a town close to Rotterdam. However, studying appeared not to be his thing at that time and he ended up as a full-time volunteer at a daycare center for over a ye ...more
