This little novella was cute and at times funny but there was just way to much sex in it. Like every five second. Sex sex and more sex it got repetitive. I found myself skipping the sex to get to the next part. I liked that both Kate's dad and Caulter's mom grew a little in this book. They were more likable. I did enjoy getting to see Caulter and Kate get married and have their baby. It was a nice little wrap up of their hea!
I didn't see until now that Sabrina Paige released a sequel-short-story about the first couple in her Stepbrother series, Kate and Caulter! So, even now that X-mas is over, I was so excited to read this!
"We broke the fucking bed," she says. "The ladder in the library that summer, and now the bed." "See? You were worried things would change, Princess," I say. "Nothing's changed at all."
I love this series and I loved Prick, so this was the perfect addition to this fantastic and super hot love story! Prick and Princess here are back hotter than ever, prepared to marry and to have a baby!! A Very Dirty Wedding is full of smokin' moments and full of surprises (too much surprises at the wedding for me.. haha).
I lean over the hospital bed to kiss Kate. It’s soft and sweet and I feel more content than I ever have. I whisper in her ear. “I fucking love you, Princess.” A little cry erupts from Anne and breaks through the laughter and clapping behind us, and Kate looks up at me with a grin. “Right back at you, Prick.”
Therefore, my rating for this is 4 STARS because it was a great extra and it was good to read more about these two together! I recommend you read the short story AFTER reading Prick because you will enjoy it a lot more then :)
What a pleasant and oh so generous treat from Ms. Sabrina Paige.
Not only you’d get to witness Caulter and Kate’s (MCs from Prick) wedding, you’d have a glimpse of some added sexy chapters from Prick, Tool and Cannon books.
So. Freaking. Delighted.
The former love-hate step-siblings finally tied the knot while Kate is pregnant. But before the wedding, of course there are wedding jitters and mishaps. So imagine what Kate and Caulter has to go through – coordinating wedding arrangements, hunting for the pregnant wedding dress, radical hormones, wacky lesbian friends...
But it doesn’t just end there.
When you thought everything’s fine and dandy then whoop, wedding day.
If you can even call that a wedding.
Note: This is a 4-in-1 book. A compilation of the first three books in the series plus the novella. So you only need to purchase this and Prince Albert, then voila, you have the complete series.
I never thought I'd say this so bear with me if you don't agree. Too much sex CAN ruin a book. P.S. I only read the extra part for PRICK which is A Very Dirty Wedding. It was an okay read but I didn't love it. Not as much as Prick. Sorry guys, I could've skipped this one and not lose an minute of sleep over it.
Somehow, I liked this novella more than the book! Ha! It seriously made me laugh and it brought back my love for Caulter and Kate and all their shannigans!
Sweet, funny, steamy sex, and oh yeah, a wedding! Pure fun!
Not as good as the first book. The author made the mistake of trying to make a book out of a pregnancy and wedding preparations. Should have called it quits with one. Too bad. Oh, well, you don't have to read it.
4 stars!!! Reading the series as a whole you immerse yourself in the books. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but must say I love the banter and barbs thrown towards each other!! Each couple has the same sought of problems but different scenarios, great read...
This took forever to actually finish and I really had to push myself. This really doesn't have much substance. It's just basically one sex scene after another and without any real story to support them...they are really mundane and boring. Disappointed fits my feelings best. The author should have left PRICK be the end and move on. It was just fine at that point.
I'd recommend this & the rest of the series books. This review could be repeated for every book in this series. Yet there wasn't anything repetitive about the stories or characters, etc. Every story had its own feel, every character, their own personality. I very much enjoyed this book (& the others in the series). Very believable, realistic dialogue, actions & emotions from both MC's. I really liked the duel POV prospective, especially as it was done so well - as is the whole series, & like with the other books, there's no boring bits, either. It's also very humorous (like the other books in series), which is a huge bonus. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about getting together with a step sibling. I don't believe sleeping/marrying a stepsibling is 'Scandalous!' unless they grew up together (from an early age) & have thought of each other as brother/sister. Otherwise, it's just a bit strange, & who cares if people think that. Nothing wrong with strange. The only issue, as I see it, is the awkwardness of having to keep seeing each other at family occasions/events, etc, if it doesn't work out, but that can be sorted with time.
I really enjoyed prick, so I couldn’t wait to read this novella, and whilst I was happy to see Cautler and Kate’s HEA, I found this to be a little cheesy.
The whole wedding thing was too far fetched and predictable. And at times it felt like I wasn’t even reading their story, because some of the writing seemed different than it did in Prick.
It was cute to see them have their baby though, and I still really like this couple. I could’ve done with a little less sex as well, but overall it was a cute and satisfying ending!
Really enjoyed reading what was going on with Caulter and Kate. This book is filled with sex, sex and more sex! They are planning their wedding and waiting on their baby to be born. You get a lot of sex, a little bit of a psycho ex, and a whole lot of love. A great quick read!
I really liked this book. And the love scenes ♥ those were hot. Like always, the drama reigned. Jajajajaj and that monkey... well, let's just say this was a simply but funny and lovely reading. 4 stars because of Anne ♥
***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!***
This is a novella from The Stepbrother Series, featuring characters from Prick-Caulter and Katherine, AKA "Princess."
It deals primarily with the lead up to their wedding, in all it's ridiculousness, and the birth of their child. This book will also have you laughing out loud at the antics involved in the moments leading up to the wedding. You will never look at Santa the same way again. And can I just say that this is the right way to do a bachelorette party!
This book is extremely sexy, and full of erotically charged moments. If you are looking for a book that will make you hot, look no further. If you have ever read a book by this author before, you know she can get very creative with a sex scene.
There were some things I really liked about this book: the funny over-the-top moments, including Ella and the Senator, the connection between Kat and Caulter, and the way that Caulter changed his life around. He was very dedicated to Kat and was extremely happy to be a father. There were some really lovable moments when he was preparing for the baby's arrival. You can't help but love a guy that goes crazy over his baby. I also thought that the wedding scene was crazy funny and enjoyable.
On the other hand, there were some things that I didn't really like. I didn't really feel like this added a whole lot more to their story other than a few tender moments here and there. I felt that most of this book was about the sex and their physical relationship. Yes that is a big part of their connection, but I wanted more storyline about their life and their future. Maybe more of their story after the baby comes. It felt a lot like I would read a really good scene, and then there were like 3 sex scenes in a row. I just felt like it was a bit much. I like a good erotic read, but I feel like the sex should enhance the story and not be the focal point.
There was also one particular aspect to the storyline that came out of nowhere, and just felt like it was added for no real reason. It didn't really do much for the story, and I thought it was really underwhelming. If there had been a build up to it in this book, or even the previous book, then it would have had more of an impact.
Do I recommend this book? That's a tough question. If you are looking for a book that is going to make you laugh but is primarily sex, then yes, this book is exactly what you want. If you are looking for a book that is going to enhance the original story and give you more character depth along with the sweet and sexy, then this probably isn't what you are looking for.
I bought this collection for $0.99 during a limited sale and loved every bit of it! This collection includes "Prick", "A Very Dirty Wedding" (a sequel to Prick), "Tool", and "Cannon".
All 3 couples in these stories are step-siblings, and I'm not into the incest thing, but to be clear, these couples were either adults or very close to 18 when their parents married, so they did not grow up together as siblings, so none of this in incest in my book.
PRICK This book is about Caulter Sterling and Katherine Harrison. Katherine is a straight-laced "good girl" who decides she wants to lose her virginity just before her high school graduation. She decides on Caulter, the hot, tattooed, pierced manwhore of their school who has slept with almost every girl in their school. Caulter's mother is a famous Hollywood actress who is marrying Katherine's US Senator father. Katherine comes home for the summer a few years later and is shocked to hear the news that the man who took her virginity will soon be her brother and they are both expected to act like a happy family and help with the Senator's Presidential bid and happily be part of the wedding.
A VERY DIRTY WEDDING I don't want to give anything way, so I'll just say this is a sequel to Prick. It was funny, sexy, and just great overall.
TOOL This story is about Gaige O'Neil and Delaney Marlowe. Gaige is a motorcycle racer and hot model who has come back home to recooperate after an accident. Delaney is home after graduating college and is going to work at her father's company...as Gaige's "talent manager" (aka his babysitter) and neither is very happy about it. Four years earlier, Gaige and Delaney had a passion-filled summer romance and she left for college on a sour note. Seeing each other after four years only rekindles their feelings for each other, both of them fighting it.
CANNON This is about Hendrix Cole and Addison Stone. Addy is a country singer, discovered on a reality TV show. Her self-centered mother decides Addy is not following her "morality clause" so she and the record label agree on hiring a new bodyguard (really just a babysitter), her step-brother Hendrix. Hendrix left for the Marines five years before, still in love with Addy, and without a goodbye. Now that he's back, he finds he's still in love with her after all that time. This book was my favorite of this collection.
