A must-read for any woman (and the father) who wants to birth children. Helen Wessel does a magnificent job of presenting the case for relative pain-free natural childbirth. She also covers the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual preparations necessary to experience the Joy of natural childbirth. (I have a little trouble with some of her biblical interpretations, but agree with her basic premise).

The first part of the book was pretty subjective- based on the woman's experience. The second part of the book was excellent; filled with practical help and knowledge about childbirth in general. Heavily influenced my decision to home-birth.
