Do you like gargoyles? Sexy gargoyles? How about witches? Wolf shifters? Then look no further than Knights of Stone: Lachlan the second entry in the Highland Gargoyles series. Here you will find them all…in kilts no less! This is Lachlan and Raina’s story.

I think I am having a problem with the men in this series. It’s probably because this isn’t my first rodeo when it comes to gargoyles or alphas. Let me start with Raina. I really liked her. The duel betas for wolf packs was a new concept for m

A yummy, action-packed, well-paced and thoroughly enjoyable installment in this series.

Man do I love these gargoyles! They are hot and Rock Stars and, and...I just love them! I loved rough and tumble Lachlan's story.

The Knights of Stone have to shut down their concerts, the veil that protects the Isle of Stone from being seen has thinned out and has caused them trouble, they must restore it, or they could be discovered by humans. For this the Tree Witches, The Werewolves and the Gargoyles must use their magic to restore the veil. But how can they accomplish this with the bad blood

This is a fantastic story about three different types of beings. The tree witches, gargoyles and wolves and all live on the isle of stone which up until recently was protected by all three being with a magical veil so that no humans could see the island and they could all live in peace.
After a huge battle between the three clans they divide the island and live in their own parts. Then the one they didn’t want to happen happens the humans discover

What an exciting story
Being threatened by humans coming to their Island and needing to put the veil back up. The witches have their part to do and so do the wolves. But the problem is that the Gargoyles also have a part they must do to restore the veil but have no clue as to what they must do. The old clan won’t help even after Lachlan asked. When the three factions get together for a meeting of the minds after being separate for so many years, will they be able to get alone to fix the problem.

I received this story in exchange for an honest review. This was the second story of this series about a clan or gargoyles that are brothers and have formed a rock band—the Knights of Stone. The story is one of hope, following your heart, and love despite the fact that that person isn’t like you or where you come from. I have been in similar situations and for that reason; I couldn’t stop cheering for Raina and Lachlan. I’ll have to be sure that I get the first story, which is the lead-up to Lac ...more

Glad to have read the first, and now the second. The world is developing further, with a wide variety of characters. Love the rock stars and the mix of paranormal characters/and modern times/nostalgic feel of the gothic kind of romance. Enjoyable series, characters are established well enough to make the story flow, without bogging down the flow. Characters are willing to follow their hearts, leading to their HEA! Can't wait to see more from this creative author!

Knights of Stone: Lachlan is the second book in the Highland Gargoyles series. Lachlan is the eldest of the brothers, and the alpha of their small clan left on the island. This book follows on from the ground-work done in Mason. The triad of Gargoyles, Tree Witches, and Wolves, are finally meeting on neutral ground to try and do what is best for the island as a whole, rather than just their group. Of course, it's not going to happen overnight, but any place needs a starting point. Things get int ...more

Considering I only gave the first book in the Knights of Stone series two stars I'm not sure why I purchased the second book? I think after reading the far more dramatic McKinney Brothers book I need a little light hearted sexy fantasy. At any rate I'm glad I did read this one because I felt it was a better tale. Not a great book but enjoyable. Like Mason and Layla in the first book Lachlan the oldest of the gargoyle brothers and Raina the wolf shifter daughter of the wolf pack alpha were highly ...more

They Need To Help Each Other

All on the Isle of Stone must figure out how to save their home from being overrun with humans. Lachlan is alpha of the gargoyles, one of the species plus tree witches and wolves making up the rest of the population. Each of them must do their part in securing the magical protection for their island. He doesn't have the time to fall for a pretty wolf. This is a fun entertaining read. Enjoy I did.

An okay read. It wasn't terribly exciting. I finished it but I had to make myself do it, and I skim read through the last half of the book. It was okay, and the writing wasn't bad - I was just bored.

Enjoyed this as it had a lot more story to it involving the history of each species. It had just the right mix of it, sex, interraction, and a jealous rivalry. Also the game of pursuing a mate was well played!

The gargoyles, witches and wolves must work together again to keep their island a sanctuary for the supernatural. The humans who were attacked by the wolves have attracted attention to the island and they need to protect it from the humans.

I received an ARC of this book with the promise to provide an honest review. This storyline had me from the start. Having a moment of just being oneself and not just a facade was what The Knights of Stone wanted. Playing their music to the masses as their true selves. The battle of maintaining safety and security on their mystical island, without the fear of unjustly being invaded by people who want to possibly turn it into a hunting ground.

Another new to me author Lisa Carlise, with all the genre's out there Shifters were always a go to kind of thing for me as far as paranormal. This paricular race, I don't get to read about often and love them.

This is the second book and I didn't read the first one, I'm sure it would have made the story of Lachlan over the top. with that said I didn't have any problem following the story. It was a nice length not too much det

Witches, wolves, yep, met loads of those in books, but gargoyles, nope, not met many of those, so having this unusual form of shifter taking the lead in a story was both intriguing and interesting.
After decades of living apart and not being allowed to interact with each other, can these three groups learn to work together to protect their island or will old prejudices be too much to overcome !

Lachlan needed to find a solution to a problem that was created by his his and his brother's band. There are two other types of supernaturals that live on this island with the gargoyles. They were werewolves and tree witches. His brother Mason fell in love with a tree witch but who will Lachlan fall in love with.

Rain is a werewolf that is trying to help the gargoyles out but is there more going on then what she wants to admit.

Stone Island is divided into thirds. Witches, Wolves and Gargoyles each stay in there area. However the magical veil that protected the island is failing and the island has been found by humans. Can the Witches,Wolves and Gargoyles work together to save the island. Can you find and accept your mate even if your a wolf and he is a gargoyle. This is a complete story no cliffhanger, is an entertaining read. I received this for free review .

Highland Gargoyles book 2: Lachlan by LISA CARLISLE

ABSOLUTELY wonderful conclusion to this series as much as I hopefully it will have more additional stories. Love plus dangers have a wonderful way of changing minds and attitudes towards things in all of their distant past. There's 3 more brothers as well as Seth's attitude problem. So I recommend you check out the series as it continues to be a fun and exciting read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first book I've read that's based on a Gargoyle shifter, and I wasn't disappointed! I was a little iffy going into it, but I found the book to be quite interesting, and I liked both Lachlan and Raina, and thought they were the matches for each other.

I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
